A private plane carrying gold worth over a million dollars crashed in Zimbabwe on Monday
According to News24, the plane carrying at least 22 kilograms of gold crashed with two people onboard, who manage to escape the accident with minor injuries.
“The private jet which had two people crashed at around 14:00 in Kennilworth in Bubi district and the two people escaped with minor injuries. The plane was carrying 22kgs of gold,” James Danga, an official with the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe said while confirming the incident
Danga further said the details of the crash are being withheld due to security issues. He however said that the private jet belonged to Central Air Traffic Services.
News24 could not establish the origin of the plane and its intended destination.
