We are living in a generation where the world has experiencing a lot of transition from analogy way of life to a more advanced life(Digital). However, in simple terms we can call it improved technology which has made many people to forget that we need to depend on God alone. Things have been made easier example, agriculture, transport sector, communication and education have been revolutionized to accommodate every body who feels to its importance.
Turning back to our main topic, we cannot forget that civilization has entered our Churches and we cannot defy it because it is hard to oppose change. But how is this change affecting our Churches? Is it having an outstanding negative or positive impact?Then this is where Satan comes in and take over the whole activities of many churches and run them behind the scenes. How is Satan holding many Christians to become his subjects and followers? Let's discuss this idea, hope you are going to cooperate!
1.Satan has confused many churches to believe that Abortion is lawful.
This is a great and very big problem that our churches are going through. Many girls and women have committed abortion, but due to lies coming from Satan through our own fake and false pastors, we are consoled that it is our right to kill the innocent life (Abortion). But what does the Bible tell us concerning this topic?
(Jeremiah 1:4-5) Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
God knew every individual before they were born therefore let us fight the acts of abortion in our societies. We cannot allow Satan to fool us and give us false hope.
2.Pastors are being caught and judged of rape and sexual related cases.
This is another hell route that our very own pastors have taken to mislead the innocent members of the church. In media comes many reports saying that certain pastor have been accused of sexual immortality by sleeping with one of the church member's wife.This is not godly and we cannot say that it was a slip but this is Satanic influence that our pastors have sought to entertain it.
(Matthew 5:28)"28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart"
3.The Gospels of prosperity has taken over our Churches.
Many Pastors have embarked on gospel of "panda mbegu" They have hold the church members slaves to provide everything the pastor want. This is evident even here in Kenya with certain pastors especially found in Nairobi forcing the members to contribute towards the purchase of their personal cars, luxuries or contributions towards construction of their beautiful houses as they are being lied that they are investing in heaven .
They have turned anointed oil and prayers into something that is supposed to be purchased. Where is this kind of gospel comes from? Does it have any root from the scripture? No, then hope you know the origin of this type of gospel!
"But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs (1 Timothy 6:9–10).
4. Satan has introduced Fashion in our Churches.
Many pastors are being controlled by the powers of darkness to legalize women to come into church with tight trousers and miniskirts. Where is this coming from? Can God allow such kind of worship in His Presence? Then this is found in the following book;
(Deuteronomy 22:5) "5 A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this."
5.Satan has introduced gay marriages and are happily accepted by foolish Christians.
Have you ever come across news on the media or radio station saying that there are some men in America that have married each other? Not only men, women are also doing the same. This kind of gospel does not come from God but Satan the father of lies.
("Romans 1:26-27)" 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. "
6.Many False miracles and stage managed Prophecies are going on in many churches.
The Bible warned us against the end times events, and one of them will be false prophets and false Messiahs who will perform many fake miracles under the influence of Satan to lure many people. Is this not happening before our own eyes in many churches? The answer you have it already.
“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: … and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matt. 24:3–8).
These are one of the ways Satan has taken over our Churches, the pastors have acquired magic and dark powers to perform miracles which attracts innocent Christians who are after miracles and not salvation.
7.Use of Secular Music in churches in the name of modern Christianity.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."
Satan has confused many churches in an extend that they have been blinded and fooled to believe that modern Christianity is the order of the day.
They have introduced "ndombolo ya Yesu" (Lingala songs) into praise and worship section.Things have been made to look like we are not worshipping God anymore. Our Churches have been turned into entertainment centers, pastors are entertaining followers with vouchers to travel abroad instead of preaching salvation.
8.Churches have been fooled to believe that grace is ever sufficient and no need to repent our sins.
"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:16).
Satan has gone ahead to trick many people to believe that the grace of God is here to last. He knows that the time will come when God will remove His grace on earth hence judgment will follow. Many foolish Christians have fallen in the trap of Satan to believe his lies, hence they are still in sinful life. Repent or else you will be left behind by our lord Jesus Christ when he comes to take his faithful believers to heaven.
We are living in those days that were Prophecied by great prophets. We are in the last days that our lord Jesus christ warned us against. Let us make our lives holy and keep our lamps burning as we wait for his second coming.
