People in the town of Orania, which is in South Africa, are mostly white. This makes it the most white town in the country. While there isn't a law against Black people taking part, there are a few rules. Black South Africans are often afraid to enter because they think the Afrikaners will attack them. 1) The reason it was made:

According to legend, the town was built to keep Afrikaner culture alive. Despite the fact that they have been accused of trying to re-create Apartheid, they say they are only trying to keep their history and not do anything bad.


2) You can't work there unless you meet the following rules:

In Orania, it is not allowed for people from outside to work. All of the jobs that the Afrikaner people have to do are their own. Only if you have skills that the locals don't have will you be able to enter.

A lot of money is in their savings:

It doesn't matter that the town is only a little more than two thousand people. As of 2013, about $45.5 million in savings deposits were said to be in place. Despite this, the average annual wage for a person is just a little more than R94000.
4) They have their own money:

5) You can't walk in and start living there right away:
All people who want to rent a place have to go through an admissions process, which has the power to keep people from getting in based on things like previous criminal convictions.

Even though it hasn't been proven that Orania discriminates against people, the town has been accused of doing so many times. While I don't think there should be any race-only towns, I do think that we need more places that aren't near the things that are going on in South Africa right now. This can help us avoid crime and even politics.
