This Museveni simpleton actually compared Kenya's military to the DRC's. I bet he has now gone back to the drawing board. Playing catch up. He has 50 years of catching up to do. Kenya's demonstrated capabilities are something his UPDF militia simply does not have.
Look at any map you can find. The lake has to be assumed to be inside Malawi. Tz starts from a position of weakness. Malawi does not even need to respond to the noises; they have been very accommodating to this point. They should just do whatever they choose to do with their lake.
Lake Malawi belongs to Malawi as per treaty. Every map I have ever seen agrees with this position. I fully support Malawi's position. Hopefully they can find oil and other resources inside that Lake, that can help uplift the living standards of their wonderful people.
Tribalism is our Achilles heel. That is a sickening article. There is no single group that is innocent of similarly bigotted and unhelpful views about one or another tribe, though the Kikuyu/Luo divide has always been at the heart of Kenya's tribal problems. The Kalenjin/(put a name of a...
It makes sense for SS to build their own refinery. I think they will rely on the one in Kenya until they complete one of their own. As for a rail link to the Port, I still cannot understand why they would need to use Tz. The geography does not add up.
bagamoyo,
Thanks for a mature response, relatively speaking. Even if it lacks credibility. Taking out Idi Amin was commendable, even if it is nothing to brag about. If Tz didn't do it, some child soldiers from somewhere else were going to do it. All the rest are standard things any military...
Thanks for sharing. Now I know Monduli. West Point, Sandhurst, Karen are not advertised on street corners either and they also train folks from most of those countries you mention. The young man below is a UPDF officer graduating from Kenya Military Academy. The point I am making is training...
Karen in Nairobi is where the National Defence College is. It is adjacent to the Defence Staff College. You can get more information here .: Kenya Government, Ministry Of State For Defence :..
I see that Tz also started one, juzi tu Defence college to start operations soon - In2EastAfrica -...
I will go on a limb and trust that source. I have to say I have never heard of Monduli. Those Kenyans there must be there on a friendly basis but not a need to basis; because Kenya has the means to train their military at all levels - it should be obvious because Kenya has more money. I know...
Here is a suggestion: let your military leaders to sit back and take notes. Treat this operation as a free lesson at a military academy. They don't have to pay to come to Karen for training.
kshaka,
Our friendly neighbors have no clue about what they are talking about. A 1979 skirmish with village thugs and pickpockets and they think they are experts in war...manchapu kweli kweli. The simple information you are having trouble getting across is not as obvious as we like to...
