Everything has a preceding reason, but there doesnt seem to be a single original reason for anything.

Life itself seems open ended and random, so if we have the technology there wouldnt be anything wrong with extending our lives. But on a human level, life just seems to be experience for the sake of experience. We are intricately tied into our universe, so much so that from a larger perspective we are indistinguishable from it.
We are the "universe", creation and creators, decaying and destroying. There is no "I', therefore no birth and no death. There is only the energy that birthed "us" and will continue even after "we" are dead. And even if "we" could live forever, physical calamity is always waiting around the corner(ie you're immortal to time, not kudondokewa na daraja la manzese for example). Life will never be "fair", and never make "sense" inherently. It is open ended and it is up to "you" to give meaning to it.
