The Truth tells itself....where is the position of Tanzania in the list? Read this partial story from the International Mineral Revenue Transparency Watch!

Mineral revenue secrecy fails Dar in global ranking
    Tuesday, 19 October 2010 07:53 digg

    By Alvar Mwakyusa

Tanzania has scored poorly in an international survey on mining revenue transparency.

The Revenue Watch Index 2010 places Tanzania 37th among 41 countries that were surveyed. The Revenue Watch Institute and Transparency International conducted the study between November 2009 and April, this year.

Tanzania scored 27.8 points out of a possible 100 points. Brazil tops the rankings on 97 points.

Tanzania exported 38.1 tonnes of gold worth $1.4 billion (Sh1.96 trillion at current exchange rates) between July 2009 and July 2010, accounting for about 43.5 per cent of total exports, according to the latest Bank of Tanzania monthly economic report. However, tax from these exports is not known as public disclosures have not been made mandatory.

Point nzuri.

Actually those mentioned African Countries are doing much much better than the rest....

Again, leadership in developed world is like operating a Pc loaded with software while in Africa we tend to rely on human ability and experience (jembe la mkono). Believe me, very few African President have a clue how stock market (wallstreet) works?..

Developed countries nao wanatudanganya na viongozi wetu wanakubali kuwa sisi ni DEVELOPING countries .kitu ambacho inatakiwa wajue kuwa we are note developing contries we are UNDERDEVELOPED.

    Sikiliza;
