as a Kenyan i have always heard of CHADEMA i know it is like the official opposition party of Tanzania but what does it stand for. To most Kenyans who know what of chadema we honestly think of it as a disrupter of peace in the eyes of many Kenyans. CCM seems to be as white as snow and we don't know why people keep complaining about the Tanzanian government maybe it because the news we ever get on the Tanzania's government is mostly good. can any Tanzanian please explain this and does CHADEMA have a lot of support and if so why.

By the way do you live and work in our Tanzania?

I tell you what Kijakazi: Mkenya 1987 is probably just trying to pick a quarrel with somebody. They are so used to quarreling they must quarrel at least once in a week! CCM is as white as snow because it has allowed them to fake names in tourist hotels to get employment without work permits. They are so anxious for the free flow of labour they are worried stiff any change of government will disrupt those hopes. Underline the word disrupt in the phrase "we honestly think of it as a disrupter of peace in the eyes of many Kenyans." Chadema is a Disrupter of peace, huh!
Somebody tell Mkenya 1987 the picture is changing, and its chaning fast too, and there is no stopping it! And that what is about to be disrupted is corruption and senseless government. Keep listening!

    about CDM

CHADEMA is a (Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo) -CDM, it has 20 year experience in Tanzanian politics, it has growing potential like wild fire and so many supporters now ever since WHY? because so many changes since 2005 were witnessed in the eyes of Tanzanians in and outside the Parliament because of strong influence of Chadema leadership and Tanzanian have seen and so decided. Changes were seen from a bog scandal of EPA where 130 Bil TZ Sh were stolen by officials in the government including CCM caders, changes in Mining Policy, Constitution review (although this was not CDM parcee but towards the end the party strongly campaigning for that, including boycotting to the president's opening speech in the parliament -to register the citizens concerns that we need new reforms -remember this was not in the CCM 5yrs manifesto, and behold there we are), they re the one who said without hesitating that the Prime Minister lied the parliament (no one has ever expected in the history of the Country), provided the evidence and presented to the speaker, and you know what, the evidence was put under the carpet!! and so many more!!!

Tunaona, we are no longer blind, and CCM have used their muscles (police) to threaten the opposition in the country -we have evidence, now CDM has put on hold the threatening acts and resisted the threats of CCM, thats why you see it is like jeopardizing the peace of the country. na hii imetumika kama Propaganda ya CCM to tanzanians ili waichukie CDM! na Imefeki kwa sababu watanzania tumeamka we need change, overhauling of the whole system.

Think twice

    Watanzania we see and decided!

i didn't mean to offend anyone i was just asking a question kuuliza si ujinga, is it wrong to ask? this may come as something strange to Tanzanian but when Kenyan think of Tanzania they don't see all the bad things which you are saying the government has done. To most Kenyans we see Tanzania as a well run democracy things like corruption don't seem to be in Tanzanian society ask any Kenyan if you know any, their views are similar to mine. the only thing that Kenyan media shows of chadema is organization of protests e.g arusha protest of jan last year, the arrest of Freeman Mbowe last year nov. please if you are to reply answer objectively not with emotion but logic. its not bad to want to know what is going on across the border and i am not trying to start anything.

Tanzania more corrupt, says 2011 bribery index

    By Felix Andrew

Former Tanzanian Cabinet minister, Ibrahim Kaduma holds up the East African Bribery Index Report in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

Tanzania`s ranking in the East African Bribery Index (EABI) 2011 climbed to third position from fourth, indicating that corruption was becoming more prevalent in the country and needed extra effort to weed out.
Speaking before the EABI launch in Dar es Salaam yesterday, the Executive Director of ForDIA, Bubelwa Kaiza, said corruption prevalence worsened, rising from 28.6percent in 2010 to 31.6 percent in 2011.
A total of 3,522 respondents selected through random households in Tanzania were interviewed from February to May this year.
Other countries and respondents in brackets are Kenya (2,943), Uganda (2,733) Rwanda (2,325) and Burundi (1,401) making a total of 12,924 in the region.
He said Burundi retained the first position with a corruption prevalence level of 37.9 percent from 36.7 in 2010, while Uganda and Kenya have been ranked second and fourth respectively.
According to the report Uganda has moved marginally up while Kenya has shown a marked improvement from 31.9 percent in 2010 to 28.8 percent in 2011. Rwanda once again ranked fifth with a bribery prevalence of 5.1 percent down from 6.6 percent.
However the EABI 2011 index score reveals that there is some level of improvement in certain institutions and deterioration in others in the scores and ranking.
The police have maintained the most unfavourable position while the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) has improved slightly in ranking and significantly in the score. The local authorities and
Immigration departments have deteriorated in the overall index, rising to third and sixth from 14th and 17th place respectively in the previous year.
The police revenue authorities and the judiciary across the different countries were poorly rated. All the police institutions in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Burundi appeared in the list of the ten most bribery prone institutions in East Africa.

Kenyans must be drawing a lot of benefits from the current corrupt regime in Tanzania.
Yes, Kenya is the largest exporter of Tanzanite, while the said Tanzanite is solely mined in Tanzania.

Focusing on the blue text above, I don't see how Kenyans can be so blind about the Tanzania's corrupt and cruel government. Now one may ask oneself, Why are Kenyans so interested in Tanzania politics, especially now that Chadema in gaining a lot of support amongst Tanzanians.
If Chadema was a 'peace disruptor' (as Kenyans claim), surely, Tanzanians would have been the first to know that, not Kenyans !!
Further more, Tanzanians are very peaceful people (unlike Kenyans), thus, If Chadema was a 'peace disruptor' (as Kenyans claim) Tanzanians would have rejected Chadema right away.
Otherwise, Kenyans must be either puppets of the currupt regime under CCM, or, they (Kenyans) stand to lose a lot when Chadema takes power in year 2015 elections.

Mtanzania jitambue coz with EAC hatuna nafasi!!!

Follow the red coloured text .....and see the pictures below:-
These pictures, these images are the true colour of the Tanzania ruling regime under CCM !!
Please reply to this post if you (Kenyans) 'don't see' this brutality committed by the police under direct instructions from the government top brass !!
Can you see the pictures ??? if you can see these pictures, then, continue to believe that the government of Tanzania is mostly good, until the same thing happens to you, just like it happened to the people in the pictures !!

Mkuu mkenya1987, are you for real?

You said "you dont know" what it stands for but you say "YOU thinks it simply desrupt peace"..How can you simply come to that conclusion if "you dont know"?!!! Dont you think it's something wrong with that, ..probably everything?

Briefly, CHADEMA_ CHAma cha DEmokrasia na MAendeleo...it is one out of many opposition parties in TZ, and lately the has been popular amongst Tanzanian..

"Desruption of Peace"..i dont know what province of Kenya are you from but to revresh your memory what happened in Nairobi (JK university), Kisii, Nakuru and Kisumu by 2002 woth NARC, is what is taking place here in TZ..the "movement for change", now with that many politicians and even citizens have interpret it as "Peace destroyer party"
