My top 10 books are
1. The State of Africa--Martin Meredith
2. Detained--Ngugi wa Thiong'o
3. Passion for Islam--Caryle Murphy (not that I am a Muslim and have no wish to convert. I like it because it explains many things about the faith)
4. Kwani? -2nd and 5th editions--short stories by many EA budding writers
5. Disgraced--J.M.Coetzee
6. Dead Aid--Dambisa Moyo
7. Gold, Diamonds and War: The Making of South Africa--Martin Meredith
8. Out of Africa--Isak Dinesen
9. After Mandela; The battle for the Soul of South Africa-Alec Russell
10. Richard Dawkins-The Greatest Show on Earth
12. Michaela Wrong--It is our turn to eat
13. Healing- Father Francis Macnutt
14. God is not Great--Christopher Hitchens
15. A Long way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier-- Ismael Beah
16. The Flame Trees of Thika--Elspeth Huxley
Ok, it turns out I like more than 10 books and there are more actually (mostly non-fiction), but the above I like very much.
