    Watu katika mji mkuu wa Libya, Tripoli wanajiandaa kwa mapambano zaidi, baada ya kiongozi wa nchi hiyo Kanali Muammar Gaddafi kusema atafungua maghala ya silaha kwa ajili ya wanaomuunga mkono.

    Uondoaji wa maelfu ya wafanyakazi wa kigeni unaendelea kwa njia ya anga, bahari na barabara, lakini wengine bado wamekwama.

    Marekani imezuia matumizi yoyote ya fedha na amana za Kanali Gaddafi na baadhi ya watu wake wa karibu.

    Umoja wa Mataifa unakadiria kuwa zaidi ya watu 1,000 wamekufa katika mzozo wa kisiasa wa siku 10.

    Siku ya Ijumaa, waandamanaji wanaopinga serikali mjini Tripoli wameshambuliwa kwa nguvu na bunduki.

    Shirika la habari la AP limesema, limeelezwa kuwa serikali ya Kanali Gaddafi inawapa silaha raia wanaoiunga mkono ili kuweka vizuizi mjini Tripoli na kuwabana waandamanaji.

    Wakazi ambao wamezungumza na AP kwa njia ya simu siku ya Jumamosi, wameripoti kuwa magari ya raia wanaomuunga mkono Kanali Gaddafi yanafanya doria mitaani.
