Public hostilities have engulfed the south of Kenya following an epidemic outbreak of cholera which is filtering into neighboring Tanzania.
Levels of violence have increased throughout the region as security agencies are unable to cope with the unrest.
The international community has expressed its intent to provide medical assistance; however, this may come too late as violent outbreaks have become the new ‘norm’.
Some 250,000 people have fled the area for fear of disease and hostile unrest. Tanzania, the destination for most is now overwhelmed with both the refugees and their own cholera outbreak. The northern area of Tanzania, once a place seen by most as a safe haven appears to be suffering the same fate. Violent isolated backlashes have broken out as a result of the influx, which most seem to blame for the cholera outbreak.
Although security forces have increased their presence in the area, their ability to maintain control is yet to be tested. As we have witnessed in Kenya, hostilities can escalate extremely quickly if dealt with inadequately.

From Ebola and now long live Cholera what else will finish us ??????
