    Kwa muda sasa nimebahatika kuhudhuria baadhi ya sherehe za "send off" na kushangazwa sana na uvaaji wa yule anayeagwa.

    Waalikwa wote kwa maana ya wake kwa waume huwa wamevaa nadhifu kwa maana ya kufunika sehemu zote za miili yao. Lakini kituko ni yule anayeagwa ambaye siku hiyo huwa nusu uchi yaani ngua inaanzia kwenye chembe cha moyo shuka chini.

    Nisichoelewa wote tumealikwa ili tukamuage tayari kwa maisha mapya ya kuwa na mwanaume mmoja, badala ya yeye kuonyesha staha ya jinsi atakavyokuwa kwa mumewe siku hiyo yeye hugeuka kituko fulani kwani kwa tamaduni za kiafrika huo uvaaji haukubaliki mbele ya wazazi wake.

    Sasa kama ameshafanya maamuzi ya kuwa na mwanaume mmoja, hiyo vaa yale inatuma ujumbe gani kwa wanaume wa aina ya fataki walioko kwenye hiyo sherehe? au anataka kuwaambia nini wale vijana ambao pengine nao walikuwa kwenye mbio za kumtaka wakazidiwa?

    Uanajua tatizo letu sisi sote tunapenda sana mambo ya ki magharibi tunaiga kila kitu vingine hata havina maana bora tu viwe kama vya kizungu. Utamkuta mtu yuko Njombe kuna baridi ya kufa mtu lakini kwenye hiyo send off kavaa mabega wazi! ukiuliza maana yake ni nini wanasema kisasa Ah! haya wajameni.

    Taking seriously, huyu binti anawaaga ndugu zake na si marafiki zake. Walio marafiki wataendelea kuwa marafiki zake lakini kwa upande wa ndugu anahama kwao anao kwa boma lingine; sasa kwanini haya mambo yasifanyike zaidi nyumbani ili na hao ndugu zake washiriki wengi zaidi?
