Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania(WCST) wanasema watamshauri raisi juu ya kujenga barabara ardhini huko serengeti. Ushauri wao ni wa uongo. Washauri wa kikwete kama ndio hawa tutegemee nini?

    Dear Editor - the Guardian,

You are wrong, Britain - France tunnel (the Channel Tunnel or Euro Tunnel) is not 1421 km

Please note an error in your article titled: Serengeti road: '53km tunnel can dodge park' which I have accessed on Home.

You have this statement: "He cited the 1421-km tunnel stretching from Britain to France through the English Channel as an example."

You may note that the English Channel and the Euro tunnel are different things. The tunnel is beneath of and crosses the channel. The channel itself is the water stretch separating Britain from the rest of Europe. It is not a tunnel. The tunnel is 50.5 km. Please also note that the channel is also shorter than 1421km. It is actually 560 km. You may see this Channel Tunnel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

If you propose a tunnel of 53 km then you should know it will be the Channel Tunnel! This to me seems not feasible in the Tanzanian social economic situation.

    Please do not mislead people.
