Over the week end I was curious to know which country owned America's debt the most. I thought China would be at the top of the list. I was wrong, not even close. America owes Americans the most of its debt. According to US Treasury department, America owes foreigners about $4.5 trillion in debt. But America owes America $9.8 trillion.
