    UKODISHAJI wa lililokuwa Shirika la Reli Tanzania (TRC) kwa mwekezaji wa kigeni uliozaa Kampuni mpya ya Tanzania Railway Limited (TRL), unaendelea kukumbwa na matatizo mwanzoni kabisa mwa mkataba wake.

    Dosari kubwa inayolikumba shirika hilo ambayo imechukua siku nne sasa ni ile ya wafanyakazi wa TRL wa Dar es Salaam kuwa katika mgomo ambao sasa unaonekana kuendelea kusambaa katika maeneo mengine nchini.

    Wafanyakazi hao waliogoma wanadai kulipwa mafao yao kabla hawajahamishiwa kuendelea na kazi chini ya mwekezaji mpya aaliyekabidhiwa uendeshaji wa shirika hilo Jumatatu, katika mkataba wa ukodishwaji wa miaka 25.

    Katika kile kinachoashiria kuzidi kuimarika kwa mgomo huo, habari zinaeleza kuwa, umeanza kusambaa sehemu nyingine, kama vile Tabora, ambako inaarifiwa kuwa wafanyakazi wa kitengo cha karakana jana nao walianza kugoma.

    Wakizungumza na gazeti hili kwa nyakati tofauti, wafanyakazi waliogoma mkoani Dar es Salaam, walisisitiza kuwa wataendelea kugoma hadi hapo watakapolipwa pesa za mkono wa heri kama walivyolipwa baadhi ya wafanyakazi waliokuwa wa Shirika la Reli Tanzania (TRC).

    Habari kutoka ndani ya shirika hilo zimeeleza kuwa, mgomo huo huenda ukaathiri hata safari za treni za abiria ambazo huanzia Dodoma kuelekea Mwanza na Kigoma kupitia Tabora.

    “Pamoja na kuwa safari (za abiria) zinaanzia Dodoma, lakini hata njia huko bara nayo si nzuri, iwapo wafanyakazi wataendelea kugoma, inaweza kusababisha hata hizo treni za Dodoma zishindwe kusafiri kwani njia hiyo nayo inahitaji ukarabati wa mara kwa mara,” alisema mfanyakazi mmoja ambaye hakupenda jina lake litajwe gazetini.

    Mfanyakazi mwingine aliongeza: “Serikali isifikiri huu ni mchezo, endapo mgomo huu utaendelea, itakuwa ni hatari kwa watu wanaotegemea usafiri wa treni, kwa sababu injini za treni zinazotumika hivi sasa bila kufanyiwa matengenezo kila mara hazifai, sasa mafundi wamegoma, nini kitaendelea hapa... kama si kukwama kwa usafiri.”

    Habari zaidi zinaeleza kuwa hali inaweza kuwa mbaya kutokana na kujiingiza katika mgomo huo wafanyakazi wa karakana tatu kubwa za Dar es Salaam, Morogoro na Tabora.

    Wafanyakazi hao wameingia kwenye mgomo wakilalamikia kitendo cha baadhi ya wafanyakazi wenzao, kulipwa na Serikali mkono wa heri pamoja na pesa nyingine kwa minajili ya kupunguzwa kazi, lakini wanashangaa kuona wamerudishwa tena kazini Oktoba mosi, wakati TRC inakabidhiwa rasmi kwa mwekezaji mpya, Kampuni ya RITES kutoka India.

    Wafanyakazi waliogoma nao wanataka walipwe kama walivyolipwa wenzao, na ndipo waendelee na kazi au waliokwishalipwa wasirudishwe tena kazini.

    Hata hivyo, Waziri wa Miundombinu Andrew Chenge, alisema siku ya makabidhiano kuwa suala hilo litapatiwa ufumbuzi kupitia Chama cha Wafanyakazi wa Reli (TRAWU) kwa misingi ya majadiliano.

    he is too blind to see anything wrong from swahibas.....

    If i may ask, what has JK's government done well when it comes to big investment and sustainable economic development? apart from selling our rights and privileges to outsiders?
