Uganda Improves in Doing Business - Tanzania continues being pathetic

Uganda improved its ranking to the 122nd position down from 129th position globally, according to the 2011 Doing Business report. However, starting a business in Rwanda is easier compared to other East African counterparts.
According to World Bank's Doing Business 2011, report Rwanda has moved to 58th position globally up from the 70th position held last year. Kenya although holds the same position in the region slipped four positions down wards to 98th up from 94th last year.

Tanzania dropped to 128th up from 125th whereas. Burundi, on the other hand, made no reforms in improving the business environment and stagnated at the 181st position. The Doing Business report presents quantitative indicators on business regulations and the protection of property rights that can be compared across 183 economies from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe over time.
The regulations include; starting a business, issuing permits, employing workers, registering property and getting credit. Others are protecting investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and closing a business.

Tanzania has a long way to go. Everything is pathetic just like you said.
 
Those viongozi maybe a doing a right thing without their knowledge! Kwa type ya wawekezaji wanaokuja kupora, kuhonga wasilipe kodi na kuja na vibarua wao, bora Tanzania iendelee kufanya vibaya ili wasije! Hatuhitaji nnyang'aus, fake investors! Tanzania inawezekana bila hao waporaji!
