    This man is in charge of Tanzania Airports Authority (last time I checked their website) and I'm not sure who is related to in the higher echelon lakini he doesnt care about YOU, ME, and VISITORS visiting Tanzania.

    Can you believe that Airconditions inside Dar es salaam Intl Airport havent worked for 5 years?

    Je mnaamini kuwa escalators za kuteremka wakati ndege imeingia na za kupanda wakati wageni wanaondoka have not worked for over 4 years?

    Je mnajua ile conveyor belt ni mbovu na chances za kupoteza mizigo yenu ni kubwa kuliko hata uwanja wa ndege wa Dodoma?

    Are you guys aware that toilets at DIA are flooded ni not only ni health risk kwa wateja bali pia kwa staff?

    Are you aware kuwa the so called ANTI DRUG/USALAMA WA TAIFA/IMMIGRATION OFFICERS/ASKARI KANZU/ etc wanaokaa pale mlangoni kabla ya kutoka ni big embarrassment kwetu kama taifa? (sina haja ya kueleza what they do kwani kila anayeingia anajua how annoying those clown can be) apart from being smelly

    CUSTOMS ambao wanafanya kazi as if they are in the 14th Century. This is un acceptable, huwezi ku go through mabegi ya watu kwa mikono namna ile eti kuangalia zawadi mpya wanazopelekewa watu...

    TAA lazima waelewe kuwa priority yao kwetu ni CUSTOMER SERVICE and not otherwise and I urge this lazy CEO to get off his bum and make a trip to NAIROBI aone how those guys are running the airport.

    I would rate this airport as the worst International Airport in the world! and please dont give me that ---- eti hawana pesa!

    Word of advise to this C*** Aongee na wenzie wa TIC, AIRLINES, CUSTOMS/TRA, IMMIGRATION & SECURITY SERVICES on how well they could serve us without MATESO tunayoyapata na hasa wenzetu ambao ni WALEMAVU

    Nimepitia haya maelezo na kwa kuwa pia ni mdau wa pale kama msafiri nilifuatilia kujua ukweli wa haya yote na niliyapata yafuatayo; Kwanza pale sasa hapaitwi DIA panaitwa JNIA.

    Escalators nimeambiwa wameshaagiza zipo bandarini ila si sahihi kuwa ni miaka minne toka ziharibike. pia technolojia iliyotumika pale ni ya zamani kwa hiyo vifaa vingi havipo kwenye soko na mpango uliopo ni kubadilisha mfumo mpya hata mfumo wa viyoyozi ni hivo hivo kwa sasa imefungwa mitambo mipya na hali imebadilika na inaendelea kuibadilika.

    Kuhusu idara nyingine za usalama wamesema wataitisha kikao. Hata hivyo hatuwezi sema Tesha ni lazy je mnataka awe kama Andendenye wa Polisi Arusha? Pia tukumbuke kuwa wakati TAA inaundwa hali ilikuwa mbaya zaidi na sasa hivi kumebadilika sana, tuwe wa kweli.

    Suluhisho kubwa ni kujenga terminal three ambayo wanasema wanamalizia design. Pia ni chini ya tesha hali viwanja vya mikoa imeboreshwa na kwa sasa viwanja saba vitajengwa kwa kiwango cha lami ambavo ni Kigoma kubeba ndege kubwa na kitakuwa cha kimataifa, Tabora, Shinyanga, Dodoma kitajengwa kipya kikubwa, Songwe kitafunguliwa mwaka huu, Mafia ujenzi umeanza, Mpanda ujenzi umeanza.

    Lazima watu mfahamu kuwa ujenzi wa kiwanja cha ndege garama zake ni karibu 1:15 ya barabara yaani kila km 1 ya barabara kwa bil 1unaweza tumia bil 15 kujenga tarmac ya RWY.

    Pia wanasema mapungufu yapo hasa bajeti finyu na biashara ya usafiri wa anga yenyewe nchini si imara sana. Pia kiwanja kina idara nyingi wakati mwingine lawama zinatolewa kwa TAA lakini ni idara nyingine hata hivyo hatua zimekuwa zinachukuliwa mara kwa mara kurekebisha hali.

    Mizigo mingi inayoonekana imeibwa ktk mabegi huibiwa huko inakotoka, umeshafanyika utafiti na kuweka mitego mingi kutumia mfumo wa kamera za matukio lakini imegundulika mizigo kama kamera, laptops na nyingine ni huko huko ndege inakotokea. Haya ni machache niliyoyapata baada ya kufuatilia ukweli wa haya yote.

    Utendaji mzuri haupimwi kwa kuyafanya kama ya Andendenye

    wale jamaa walifungua mizigo yangu na nilikuwa na mgeni wangu alinicheka kweli sema nikamwambia kuwa umeme ulikuwa umakatika by the time ndio akaelewa so sijui next time tukija nitamdanganya nini tena.why tanzanian we behave like this?

    The place is embarrassing.

    I was there about 2 years ago with a friend from abroad and they were astonished at the state of the airport. They kept asking me why it was in such a poor state. All i could do was shake my head and say corruption and incompetence. Yet nobody has ever been held accountable for anything. Kama kawaida Tanzania.

    Jamani tuwe wakweli, kwa sisi tuliobahatika kusafiri kwenye nchi za watu hakika tunapata hata kichefuchefu tunarejea nyumbani kupitia kwenye uwanja wa ndege dar. Generally, uwanja ni mchaefu, kuta zina buibui, vyoo mara kwa mara vinakosa maji, taratibu za kuboard zipo hovyo, watumishi wake siyo customer oriented. Yaani matatizo matupu!! Hivi jk na viongozi wenzie hawayaoni hayo??????? Wanachoona wao ni dowans tu!

    To sum it up, it is pathetic! Nimependa face lift ya Entebbe. Jamaa wamekosa kabisa ubunifu na kwa kweli inatia aibu kuona kwamba nchi iliyosheheni utajiri wote huu tunashindwa kuuweka uwanja ukaendana na jina

    couple of things

    1. I like calling it DIA because it sounds nice na ndivyo wengine tulivyozoea

    2. Hiyo argument kuwa escalators ziko bandarini I wont buy it kwa sababu nijuavyo ni kuwa they have been out of work since 2007! hii nimethibitisha toka kwa jamaa waairlines wanaofanya kazi pale pamoja na staff wa Immigration ambao wako pale zaidi ya miaka 10

    3. Kuhusu Air condition hujajibu jibu linaloeleweka. Kusema eti system iliyofungwa ni ya kizamani kwani mle ni Museum mpaka kuwe delicate kufanya renovation? Majengo mangapi mjini tunaona yanabadilishwa airconditition na mifumo yake. In this day and age huwezi kujustfy hilo. Vifaa vipo na pesa mnapata whats was so hard kwenu kuingiza na vifaa vilivyoletwa kwa ajili ya VIP Terminal?

    4. Issue ya wale jamaa wanaonuka jasho pale mlangoni haihitaji kikao. Hili mnalijua kwa sababu lawama zimezidi lakini mmekuwa kichwa ngumu. Hamuwezi kuwa na immigration stages ishirini ndani ya airport, kama mko over staffed wapelekeni mipakani kama Tunduma , na sehemu zinginezo.

    5. Issue ya CUTSOMS nayo hujajibu kwa sababu the days za watu kupekuliwa kwa mikono zishapitwa na wakati. Inabidi muweke scanners kule mizigo inposhushwa toka kwenye ndege kuja kwenye mikanda ya kupokelea mizigo

    6. Unadai TAA imebadilika lakini mimi sioni kilichobadilika unless unacha kutuambia kati ya hivyo unavyosema vimebadilika

    7. Hiyo ya uwanja wa MAFIA naomba usituongopee kwa sababu pesa zinazojenga kila kiwanja ni za serikali ya USA chini ya mpango wa MILLENIUM CHALLENGE ACCOUNT na ushaidi huu hapa:

    8.Mizigo not only inaibiwa wakati inaingia...siku hizi watu wenu wanwaibia watu mpaka pale kwenye mashine za departure. Binafasi saa yangu ishaibiwa pale kwenye scanner katika mazingira ya kitatanishi
