Turkish national, Onder Engul at Nakawa Margistrates CourtBy Job Bwire A Turkish national Egrgul Onder, who was arrested for allegedly raping a US diplomat recently in Kampala, has once again been remanded to Luzira Maximum Security Prison pending investigations.Nakawa Court Magistrate Kamasanyu Musenze Gladys sent Egrgul back to Luzira until June 25th when he will reappear in court for mention of the case.The accused according to the prosecution committed the crime on the night of April 29 after having a few drinks with his friends at a bar in Ntinda, a Kampala suburb where he allegedly met the diplomat.After the night out, Egrgul reportedly drove the victim to his apartment in Nalukolongo - a city suburb from where he committed the crime and later the duo went back to the bar from where they later parted ways.In a statement according to the court documents, the victim said after the incident, Egrgul left her in the bar after he learnt of her suspicion about his hideous crime.She reported the case to the police hence prompting Egrgul's arrest two days later from one of his shops located on Kampala Road. The 34 year old was arrested and remanded to Luzira Maximum security prison since May 1st 2012. The case was registered under file number CRB/16/89/2012, at Jinja Road Police Station.
