TTCL na huduma za internet mbovu!

Seacom n i fake jamani yaani ISP wote walio join seacom speed imekuwa even worse......sijui kwa nini
 
zantel nao nilishawapiga chini baada ya kuniuzia kimodem chao kile Gmax,ukiweka 5000 half an hr hufiki kwa normal mail reading(hakuna downloads hapo),ningekuwa na kampuni ningeamua nijiunge na nani but kwa sasa natumia BB nkiwa nje ya ofice!!
 
Kila siku tunakuwa wa mwisho, ukweli ni kwamba kampuni hizi zinafanya wizi kwa wateja wake, huwezi ukawa na huduma mbovu kama Tanzania
 
I think all the other ISP are playing a 'watch and wait' game on the Seacom cable.

Recently there was an article in a Kenyan newspaper on an BBC interview with the PS of the Information ministry who stated whilst bandwidth costs in Europe is U$ 50, in Kenya it is U$ 400!

TTCL speed remains erratic along with their customer care staff responses, though they too, if were not having financial constraints could have joined the cable system.

I hear Zantel is good, but than there are other remarks to them as well in this thread.

Guess we will have to continue to wait....
 
Ni kweli gharama zitashuka kuanzia October mosi, lakini pia tukumbuke kuwa kuongezeka kwa speed ambayo imefikia 300Mbps (Kuanzia weekend iliyopita) kunamfanya mtumiaji a-download kwa sana katika kipindi kifupi hivyo kujikuta akitumia pesa zaidi ndani ya kipindi hicho kifupi.

Kila mabadiliko yanakuwa na faida na hasara zake, na cha muhimu hapa ni kuzingatia kuwa mtumiaji anachajiwa kwa MB anazotumia.
 
Zantel, TTCL Mobile na Sasatel wanatumia CDMA technology. Ubora na ubaya wa huduma hii ya wireless hutegemea kwa kiasi kikubwa idadi ya wateja eneo ulilopo.

Mimi ni mmoja wa walioacha kutumia TTCL Mobile mwaka jana baada ya Zantel kuja na gharama nafuu na kasi nzuri. Nasikitika, baada ya miezi sita network imepotea kabisa. Kisa, wateja wameongezeka na service provider hajafanya network optimization.

Kwa sasa imebidi data card kuiweka pembeni na kurejea kwenye broadband ya TTCL, angalau hali si mbaya sana hata kama speed si nzuri.

Bado ushindani wa kweli unahitajika kwenye huduma za internet hapa nchini.

Naona umetoa shutuma kali kweli. Mimi pia mteja wa Broadband ya TTCL. Binafsi nadhani hao TTCL ni much better kuliko wengine.

Speed ya internet imeongezeka, hasa nime-notice video streaming (hapa inategemea RAM pia).

Juu ya servers zao kuwa down, ni kweli. Nimeona mara mbili tatu hivi. Lakini si kiasi cha kukatisha tamaa. Suala kwamba hawapokeai simu sina hakika nalo kwani ukipiga 100, unaunganishwa baada ya muda(kama line iko wazi).

Kuhusu bei, ni kweli bado ziko juu. Mimi napata 1G kwa kulipia elfu 60 kwa mwezi. Ni ghali mno. Lakini niliongea nao, pale ofisi ndogo iliyoko Ubungo Plaza, wakaniambia mwezi wa 10 watashusha bei.

NB: Habari za uhakika ni kwamba serikali isipotoa sh bilioni 18 mapema iwezekanavyo, kampuni hii inakufa na kuzikwa.
 
TTCL broadband services wamepunguza gharama zao kwa asilimia hamsini kuanzia leo, yaani mwezi wa kumi huu.

Pia inaonekana watakuwa na packages nyingi. Kuna moja ni unlimited access kwa Tsh 45,000 kwa mwezi. Lakini speed yake mhh! 256kbps ni ndogo sana kwa mtu anayethamini muda wake.

Naona ndugu Jile79 anadhani mimi ni mamluki. Hapana. Ni mteja tu wa TTCL.
 
TTCL: Fibre -optic fruits will take time

THE arrival of fibre-optic technologies in Tanzania last month will have little immediate impact in the way we communicate with each other, it has been confirmed. However, the amount of data changing hands and quality of voice communication has already improved since the Tanzania Telecommunication Company (TTCL) was hooked into the Seacom Tanzania Ltd on July 28, 2009.

The cable which connects Tanzania with the rest of the world was launched by President Jakaya Kikwete on July 23, 2009. Fibre-optic cable technology which is expected to replace the inferior satellite infrastructures once in vogue not long ago is envisaged to cut the cost of communication by at least two thirds.

The Acting Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology, Mr Manyiri Isaac, told the ‘Daily News’ that the cost to end-users might not go down immediately because communication companies still have contracts with satellite service providers to service.

Mr Isaac said the communications companies would have to pay more because they would be required to pay for both the satellite services and for fibre-optic services. “I think when their contracts with the satellite providers come to an end, more companies will join the new technology … only then shall we begin to see the costs going down,” Mr Isaac said.

He said that TTCL was the only company connected to the new technology until yesterday -- because the others were still reluctant to do so. “But with time they will eventually join,” he added. These views were shared by the TTCL Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Said Said, who said that Tanzanians could only begin to benefit from the speed and quality of the services when the prices finally drop.

However, he said the arrival of the new technology would not completely replace the satellite technology since the mobile phone companies would still be required to use their old towers mired to satellite connections. “Fibre-optic cables will only be used to connect between one to other towers … but from tower to mobile phone users, tower (wireless) will be needed,” he said.

Mr Said also noted that his company had three running contracts with Satellite providers, one of which expires in September. He said TTCL customers had already started reaping the gains from the new technology because the quality and speed of internet connectivity had since gone up four times, but they (TTCL) were yet to connect to telephone interchange.

The CEO called on businesses and individuals to join the technology through TTCL because internet connections using landline telephones would now provide the best option over wireless ones. The government has commissioned the construction of the National Backbone Infrastructure Project (NBIP) that will enable the fibre-optic technology to reach all districts by 2011.

Ni kweli TTCL wametoa tariff mpya ya Broadband tangu tarehe 1 Oktoba 2009. Jambo la kusikitisha, wametekeleza mabadiliko hayo kwa siri na bila kutoa maelekezo ya kutosha kwa wafanyakazi wa Huduma kwa Wateja.

Mimi nilikwenda pale Ubungo Plaza kununua kadi kwa ajili ya huduma ya 1GB niliyokuwa napata toka July. Nikaambiwa Gharama mpya kwa huduma hiyo sasa ni Tshs. 30,000.00 badala ya Tshs. 60,000.00 za awali. Nilifurahi sana na kununua kadi za shilingi 30,000.00. Nilipofika nyumbani na kuweka kadi hizo, akaunti ikagoma kufunguka. Leo nimefuatilia na kuambiwa kwamba niongeze Tshs. 30,000.00 ili niendelee kupata huduma ya 2GB!!!!!........

Sasa nashangaa, nilipoamua kuchukua huduma ya 1GB nilifanya hivyo kwa kuzingatia mahitaji yangu. Sijui ni nani aliyewaambia kwamba nahitaji kuongezewa bandwidth nisiyokuwa na mahitaji nayo?

Katika hali ya kawaida, mteja wa zamani alitakiwa aelezwe kwamba kama anataka kubaki na bandwidth ya zamani atalipa nusu ya kiasi alichokuwa analipia, vinginevyo alipie kama zamani na kuongezewa bandwidth.
 
Nionavyo mimi ni kwamba mambo haya hayana control yoyote. Wao ttcl wanajiamulia. Kwanza wana monopoly ya infrastructure, hakuna kampuni inayoshindana nao, tafanya nini! Kama huwezi kushindana nao jiunge nao.
 
TTCL wakati wa ku migrate' kwenye Fiber walifanya uzembe flani wa kupoteza data za wateja.....wengine wakakatiwa huduma isivyotakiwa...sasa tulijaribu kuwafuatilia warudishe huduma kwa siku mbili mfululizo hakuna aliyetokea,,,mpaka tukaamua kuhamia palepale ofisini kwao...
 
Tatizo la mashirika yetu haya TTCL likiwa mojawapo ni Information; hawatoi taarifa kwa wateja katika muda muafaka na upatapo taarifa sio ya kutosha kama issue ya mabadiliko ya bei na huduma mpya walizonazo.

Pili ni utoaji wa taarifa za matatizo yanapotokea; mfano wiki hii tangu jumamosi wamekuwa na shida kwa baadhi ya maeneo wanayotoa huduma nikiwamo mimi; nilikuja kufahamu kuwa wana matatizo j4 baada ya kuwa nimewapigia mimi kama mteja!
 
Jamani naomba kuuliza, ni kampuni gani inayotoa huduma ya internet ambayo itakuwa reliable 24 hrs. Kwani hizi internet cafe zinatumia mtandao gani? Maana nami nimejaribu hiyo Zantel daa kijasho kimenitoka.

TTCL tatizo ni lile lile la bwana mkubwa la kuchagua watu kwa sura wakati hayo mashirika yanahitaji business managers, hata hao viongozi walioko huko hawajua kwamba they dont deliver ukiwaambia watakushambulia na mafanikio yao, maisha ni 10% tu hebu sikiliza tangazo lao illegal la harusi na conference call, TCRA wamelala hawana habari, fikiria hayo makampuni ya mobile phones yanavyotuibia na kusema uongo getting away with murder, hebu ona tigo wanasema sasa extreme ni cheaper 100minutes kwa 1500 shs toka 1800 kwa 200mts kama TCRA ingekua inafanyakazi wangetakiwa kufungiwa kabisa wafungashe virago, ona badala ya serikali kuuliza kwa nini bei hazishuki imenunuliwa cheaply na kuitwa kwenye mkutano wa ICT na rais kaburuzwa kuhalalisha dhuluma watakakoongelea mafanikio ya ICT. Sasa sijui JF inawezaje kusemea hilo are we this stupid? serikali inatumika kubariki unyonyaji, the so called wataalamu wetu na washauri wa rais hawana uwezo wenye uwezo wemeachwa mtaani kwa kuwa hawa belong to that group, matokeo yake ndio hayo. Kwa hiyo advise to fatma try vodacom kwa 2GB ni 95000, ila huwezi ku roam nje ya nchi, nasikia zain unaweza but again you need to talk to someone who is using them, cause i dont
