Amber Ali, 23, gave birth to three little boys last week at Sinai-Grace hospital in Detroit. Amber said naming them proved a nightmare but eventually settled on Amir, Armann and Amari Whitaker. Amir was 4lb 5oz at birth, Amari was 4lb 3oz and Armann was 3lb 12oz. The babies will remain in hospital until their strength is built up but Amber said she was looking forward to having them at home. "It's going to be fun," she told local newspaper The Detroit News. The young mother said while she was pregnant "it felt like 10 in there". The babies' father Andre Whitaker was said to be ecstatic with his new sons. Amir and Armann are identical and Amari looks exactly like his mother, according to his dad. The doctor who delivered the babies, Andrea Coleman said it wasn't the easiest of labours. "It's a bit of a production when you're talking multiples but it's a nice one," she said. Like Armann, mother Amber was the middle triplet and the smallest and said as a child she and her siblings slept in dresser drawers. However for the new triplets Amber and Andre have bought bassinettes, nameplates and top-of-the-range strollers.
