The story behind PANADOL

Jamani hakuna dawa ambayo ni 100% safe to ALL people!! Kumbuka dawa yoyoyte ni chemical. Different drugs are harmful to different people. Mgonjwa anapopewa dawa yoyote ile ni kwamba mtoaji (Dr) ameona kuwa benefits ni zaidi harm.

Paracetamol is among the safest anti-pain and anti-fever. It may be toxic to the liver in some people but not to the kidneys!!

My husband was working in a hospital as an IT engineer, as the hospital is planning to set up a database of its patients and he knows some of the doctors quite well. The doctors used to tell him that whenever they have a headache, they are not willing to take PANADOL / PARACETAMOL.

Anything stated to be a fact should be evidence based.
Haya mambo ya kusikia yameongelewa sio ushahidi tosha wa yanayofanyika
.

In fact, they will turn to herbal medicine or find other alternatives. This is because Panadol is toxic to the body, and it harms the liver. According to the doctor, Panadol will remain in the body for at least 5 years.

What makes you think that herbal medicines have no side effects?! Lets not coin the words natural with safe coz natural products are not necessarily/always safe.
Paracetamol
overdose can demage the liver thats a fact.

And according to the doctor, there was an air-hostess who consumed lots of Panadol as she needed to stand all the time and work under lots of pressure. She's now in her early 30's, and she is undergoing kidney cleaning (DIALYSIS) every month.

What makes you think, it is the panodol she consumed that caused renal failure?! Have you thought and excluded other causes of renal failure?!
And how can you base your findings on only one case?! what about confounders?!

Whenever we have a headache, that's because it is due to the electron / Ion imbalance in the brain.
An alternative solution to cope with this matter is to drink lots of water.
Another method will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water so that it brings the blood pressure down from your throbbing head.

As Panadol is a pain killer, the more Panadol you take, the lower would be your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain). We all will fall ill as we age.

Pain is a subjective experience, so hiyo threshold whether low or high will never hurt nobody, because everyone has his/her threshold at which she/he experiences pain, this is natural from the way we are brought up, our cultural experiences and the likes.
And everyone will get ill eventually, whether due to old age or other natural causes.

Imagine that we had spent our entire life popping quite a substantial amount ofPanadol (painkiller), when you need to have a surgery or operation, you will need a much higher amount of general anaesthesia.

So what?! first of all, this is until you get that genaral anaesthesia?! and what are the chances then that you will need one in your entire life?!
In medicine there is nothing like "one size fits all" situation, there are dose adjustments to fit certain situations.

If you have a very high intake of Panadol throughout your life
(for migraine, menstrual cramps etc) it is very likely that normal general anaesthetics will have no effects on you as your body is pumped / full with
Panadol and your body is so used to painkillers that you would need a much stronger painkiller, like morphine????

There is a range of analgesics (pain killers) with different potencies, and the fact is not all kind of pain can be cured by panadol, it depends on the type of pain and the extent (which is subjective).

The thought is scary enough to turn me to herbal medicine or other healthier alternatives. Value your health, value your life, THINK TWICE before you easily pop that familiar pill into your mouth again.

Herbal products have side effects as well, should you ignore the dosage recommendations, infact with most herbal products not much is known, so there is higher risk of unknown side effects.

Please don't take PANADOL always and try to send this to people you care.

Nimejaribu kujibu nielewavyo mimi kwenye bluu, ila mwisho wa yote jaribu kujifikirisha kidogo na kufanya homework zetu kabla hatuja'kopi na ku'pest humu!

Unknowingly i have always been avoiding 'pain killers' believing that most headaches are a syptom of either overworking the brain thus forcing an increased blood flow around the brain and in turn causing abnormal tension the blood vessels. Most of the time these pains are an indication of something wrong with the 'system' and most of us instead of looking into reasons as why you have a headache we suppress the pain by taking pain killers resulting in eventual stroke or something similar in the end casues sudden death.
