The position holder will be seconded to the Prime Minister's Office Regional Administration and Local Government -PMORALG, Dodoma to assist the Directorate of Local Government (Service Delivery section) to perform its role in the implementation of the National Costed Plan of Action for Most Vulnerable Children, working very closely with the focal person for MVC within PMORALG.

Duty Station: Dodoma

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the PMORALG in catalyzing integration of MVC services into Council plans
  • Providing technical support to LGA in integrating NCPA into their plans and share lesson learnt with other MVC implementing partners
  • Providing supportive supervision to councils in monitoring implementation Facilitating and coordinating implementation on approved work plan Preparing and submitting progressive quarterly/annually reports
  • Document best practices and success stories in orphans and vulnerable children programming
  • Participate in annual work plan development

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences or Advanced Diploma in relevant field (Spcial Work, Sociology, Community Development)
  • 3 or more years of experience in related field: OVC/MVC issues and relating to HIV/AIDS
  • Previous professional experience either working directly with or as a liaison to the Government of Tanzania
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills both in English and Kiswahili
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of work time
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff and international community
  • Good computer skills
