Job Title: System Administrator
Duties and responsibilities
Operate, provide instant support and deal with trouble shooting in the existing systems e.g branch
operations, E-mail, internet banking, SMS banking, power severs, PCs, swift, Signature, and the like are in a good running order and provide support where necessary
Participate in the development of project of the IS related technical aspects
Perform trouble shooting as they arise
Participate in the preparation of the departmental budget
Maintain and ensure that disaster procedures are adhered to
Design, test, develop programmes, models, reports, job screams and database
Analyze, customize, test and upgrade the new patches or existing patches of various systems
Look after Start of Day and end of Day and normal operations of the branch
Train system users
Install new packages or software to users
Review the effectiveness of the existing or new packages/software
Monitor system changes
Plan for integration of new products to ensure new products are integrated into the system and perform as required
Investigate problems, issues reported from business units and provide solutions
Maintain and devise information systems, standards and procedures
Assist in the selection of suitable software
Plan for integration of new products to ensure they are integrated into the system and that they perform as required
Responsible for card personalization process
Handle PIN production process
Participate in development of card and customer statements strategy
Conduct meetings, set policies within assigned limits, delegate responsibilities and recommend changes in business processing
Answer correspondence and queries from managers/staff
Submit report to bank management and Umoja institution regarding the activities and statistics of the Card Operation
Perform any other related duties & responsibilities as may be assigned from time
Education: Direct entry
Holder of University degree in Electronics/electronic engineering, Computer science, Information Technology or relevant qualification from recognized university or institution
Excellent Computer and training skills.
Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively in English/Kiswahili
In Service:
Post qualification work experience of at least 3 years in banking or related institution
