This is how some people viewed Tanzania during Mwalimu's days: " Nyerere tought and the country which was more or less like a huge kindergarten class listened, feigning total understanding- no question. Euphemistically this fear inspired silence came to be called the peace loving nature." Have matters changed or the situation is stll the same?

Perceived by who? This observation is not true, especially if you were around during what is now called "enzi za Mwalimu".
