Tanzania: Nini tatizo letu kama Taifa? Tunajikwamuaje?

The education provided by Tanzania for the students of Tanzania must serve the purposes of Tanzania. It must encourage the growth of the socialist values we aspire to. It must encourage the development of a proud, independent and free citizenry which relies upon itself for its own development, and which knows the advantages and the problems of co-operation. It must ensure that the educated know themselves to be an integral part of the nation and recognize the responsibility to give greater service the greater the opportunities they have had.


This is not only a matter of school organization and curriculum. Social values are formed by family, school, and society—by the total environment in which a child develops. But it is no use our educational system stressing values and knowledge appropriate to the past or to the citizens in other countries; it is wrong if it even contributes to the continuation of those inequalities and privileges which still exist in our society because of our inheritance.

Let our students be educated to be members and servants of the kind of just and egalitarian future to which this country aspires.

Complete and utter bullshit. How did those socialist aspirations work for Nyerere. He caused a famine by expropriating farms to people who did not know shit about agriculture neither did they have an incentive to farm.

To claim to aspire to socialist values and then claim that, it will encourage and develop independent and free citizenry is to contradict yourself. Look at Venezuela and their consequences of socialism and tell me if their people are free or independent. They are all robbing each other just to eat.

Nyerere was nothing but an ideologue with no experience or knowledge in free market economics. The colonizers practically handed him the country because they didn't care if it went to trash, which it did.
 
Hii report ya Proceedings - why is Tanzania still poor 40 years after independence - nimekuwa naiona lakini sijapata muda wa kuisoma, itabidi niisome ili nisikie hawa jamaa walisemaje kabla ya kutoa maoni yangu. Au kama kuna mtu amekwisha ipitia atupe 'snippet' yake.
 
unaona, haijalishi kuwa na watu waliosoma, kama viongozi ni wabovu ni wabovu tu!!!! Kumbuka viongozi wana nguvu, waliosoma na ambao siyo viongozi hawana nguvu!!! Kiongozi mbovu aliyesoma, anatumia nguvu zake vibaya na anaweza kupinda sheria (kama ilivyotokea Hungary) ili kuwalaghai wananchi!!

FD, kama usomi unaosema wewe ni uwezo wa kufikiri unaotokana na uhuru wa kupata habari siyo digrii ya shuleni nakubaliana na wewe kwa upande fulani. Tatizo letu ni kutokuwa na mipango endelevu ya kiuchumi ktk ngazi ya familia,na ndiyo maana watu wengi wenye PhD na maprofesa wamekuwa ni watu wa kujipendekeza na wanafiki ili walinde matumbo yao.

Elimu yetu ya sasa haiwafanyi wasomi kufikiri hasa kuanzia ngazi ya Primary.

Hakuna vyuo vya kuwaandaa viongozi kama ilivyokuwa IDM Mzumbe na chuo cha Mipango Dodoma. Sasa hivi ni mradi uwe kada wa chama. RDD, DED walikuwa ni watu wasio kuwa na siasa. Sasa hivi lazima uwe mwanasiasa.

Wasomi ambao walipaswa kuwasomesha na kuwapa msasa watoto wetu, wameishia kwenye siasa, iwe kwa kupenda au kwa kuogopa kitakachowatokea wakigomea nafasi hizo. Ila nadhani unafiki na kujipendekeza umezidi. Nadhani hawa wasomi wengi ni wale vimbelembele au bora liende.
