    VodaComa as an ISP:

    Kuna Benson Online (BoL):
Internet speed yao haizidi 60kb/s (download speed).

I do not recommend them to any of my friends. Labda wabadilike!

    Kuna hawa wageni SasaTel:

Kinachofurahisha zaidi TTCL wana Upload speed kubwa tu, inafikia hata 516kp/sec.

Matatizo ya TTCL Broadband ni mengi kidogo:

    1. Hakuna Post Paid service, ikifika mwisho wa mwezi wanakukatia tu! Yani hawakupi hata dakika ili uka-recharge. Kama una mteja ambaye ana service muhimu unaweza kubeba lawama zisizo zako.

    Zain as an ISP:

ISP wengine kama CATS-Net, iWay Africa n.k nitatoa feedback baadae kwani ndio bado natafuta connections zao ili niweze kutoa comment.

Kuna kitu kimoja ambacho nadhani wengi hawajakishtukia.

Ukijaribu hizi services zao inakubidi ukae locations tofauti. Ukiingia Youtube inawaumbua wengi kwani video hazi-load kabisa na wengine unakuta service inaji-restart (modem).

Ukitaka kujua speed ya connection husika unaweza kutembelea Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test uone.

Am in Dar and you have my cell #

    TSHS | MB | RATES/MB
    2,000 | 10 | 200
    3,700 | 20 | 185
    15,000 | 100 | 150
    25,000 | 250 | 100
    40,000 | 500 | 80
    72,000 | 1,024 | 70
    108,000 | 2,048 | 53

    Brochure moja nimeona ina hizi rated za bundle;

Raha ya surfing uone kila kitu including images. Hizi bei wamezitoa last week? Manake ni mpya kwangu, 2GB kwa 108,000/=? Nakumbuka last time ilikuwa ni laki 2 hivi.

Halafu, hata hivyo bei hiizi ukiangalia hiyo 2GB bado wanakukamua Tshs 53 per MB! Zantel wanacharge Tshs 26/= incl VAT. You can compare...

Still expensive!

    so,
who is a true unlimited ISP provider in TZ?one that charges in terms of Speed like 512kb/s and not size-like(2GB etc).
if i were to use internet i would prefer speed over size.
Also do we have any LAN providers yet?

Nothing UNLIMITED!

kwa sasa hivi,i am sure you will never break 1mp/s limit in a cellphone, especially in TANZANIA,may be later.

if you go to Speedtest.net - World Results

highest speed download speed a Tanzanian ISP can offer ni 0.74mb/s that is around 800kb/s (nadhani TTCL) most wako well below 0.5mb/s sort of 512kb/s

test for yourself don't let advertisers fool you.

    Thanks for the info Mkuu,

Kama uko Bongo ninge shauri ufanye speedtest speedtest kupitia mirror yao iliyopo TIX. If your ISP is connected with TIX then Itakupa more realistic results.

    Link ya Speedtest in Tanzania
    http://stats.tix.or.tz/speedtest/

Kama mkuu alivyosema hapo juu. 7.2Mbps is not your internet speed. "Windows inasema local area connection is now connected -100mbps". Well that doesn't mean your internet speed is 100mbps but your local connection (from PC to switch/router is 100mbps).

Kuongezea , kwasababu nimefanya kazi na 3G technology ninajua kwamba speed ya 3G datacard can be affected by small things like
A rooftop made from lead, Network Congestion etc..etc. Nilivyokuwa chuoni nilikuwa nashangaa kwanini siwezi kupata 3G internet wakati wa peak times (early morning , break time , evening).

Well i use a WiA Dedicated connection. And i download 2GB per day. I don't pay for the download sizes but you must be willing to pay for the dedicated connection. If you are a heavy user look for isps who offer dedicated services, most of them charge you on the speed you selected and not the quota.

Please Come again..? - i didn't fully understand what you meant by LAN providers. Do you mean LAN isps like CTV and Hotspot (i know its a computer term but - do believe me its also an isp in Dar).

    Reality check:
Wajamini na speed hizi tumeachwa mbali na nchi nyingine duniani.

Lakini Tutafika tuu. Tuko mbali ila tutafika tuu. Inabidi tufike. Kwani ni muhimu lazima tufike - (B.P 2009)
