ARLINGTON, Texas -- Sunny skies appeared over the site of Super Bowl XLV on Sunday for the NFL's showcase event.
After a week of wintry weather that caused injuries to six people when ice fell off of Cowboys Stadium on Friday, the arena is ready for its first try hosting the Super Bowl.

More than 100,000 fans -- possibly a Super Bowl record crowd -- were expected to trickle into the Cowboys Stadium complex.

Outside the park, drivers were faced with parking bills for the afternoon that ran to $100 and more in some places.

The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers were set to step onto the Cowboys Stadium field for warmups a little later in the afternoon.
Both teams have their logos painted in their respective end zones.

Down on the field, the NFL Network had a big presence with its pregame show that included visits from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and movie star Jennifer Aniston.
