Dear Friends, There is a significant difference in wages for different category of workers. Unskilled workers Skilled workers Semi Skilled workers. My query is how these categories are defined ? If Mr. A is a semi skilled worker in a factory; what are the criteria for keeping him under semi skilled category ? How he will move in skilled category ? Is there any criteria of number of years of service or number of years performing the particular job ? Is experience an issue in such categorization? Is education an indicative factor in such grading? Is there any rules framed by the Govt to define these categories ? I need clarification on this.
