Sasatel itakuwa kampuni ya nne kuwa na huduma hii ya CDMA kampuni nyingine ni TTCL,ZANTEL na BENSON INFORMATIC sii vibaya nikiwajuza maana ya CDMA
Code division multiple access (CDMA) is a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_access_method"]channel access method[/ame] utilized by various radio communication technologies. It should not be confused with the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mobile_phone_standards"]mobile phone standards[/ame] called cdmaOne and [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CDMA2000"]CDMA2000[/ame] (which are often referred to as simply "CDMA"), which use CDMA as an underlying [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_access_method"]channel access method[/ame].
One of the basic concepts in data communication is the idea of allowing several transmitters to send information simultaneously over a single communication channel. This allows several users to share a bandwidth of frequencies. This concept is called [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplexing"]multiplexing[/ame]. CDMA employs spread-spectrum technology and a special coding scheme (where each transmitter is assigned a code) to allow multiple users to be multiplexed over the same physical channel. By contrast, [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_division_multiple_access"]time division multiple access[/ame] (TDMA) divides access by [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time"]time[/ame], while frequency-division multiple access (FDMA) divides it by [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frequency"]frequency[/ame]. CDMA is a form of [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spread_spectrum"]"spread-spectrum"[/ame] signaling, since the modulated coded signal has a much higher data bandwidth than the data being communicated.
An analogy to the problem of multiple access is a room (channel) in which people wish to communicate with each other. To avoid confusion, people could take turns speaking (time division), speak at different pitches (frequency division), or speak in different languages (code division). CDMA is analogous to the last example where people speaking the same language can understand each other, but not other people. Similarly, in radio CDMA, each group of users is given a shared code. Many codes occupy the same channel, but only users associated with a particular code can understand each other. source WIKIPEDIA

PME African Infrastructure Opportunities plc (“PME”) is a company investing in Sub-Saharan Africa
infrastructure and infrastructure related industries. Its shares were listed on AIM in London in July

COMMENT BY THE CEO, MR CHRISTIAN ERLANDSEN
Working together with Vodacom, Celtel and other operators in Tanzania, the new player will
complement the existing partners. “We feel our involvement in the telecoms market in Tanzania
will be a great and benefi cial relationship for all” says Dovetel Ltd. CEO Christian Erlandsen. “We are

    OUR SPECIAL THANKS TO:

    1) The Tanzanian Government:
For their efforts in promoting growth in the local industry through proactive policies symbolized by
    actions rather than words.
    2) TCRA:
For their efforts in introducing the new licensing and regulatory framework which was the main driver
towards getting Dovetel involved. We acknowledge the efforts made by all TCRA staff to create a
good environment where operators can offer services without needing to worry about technology
(the services include fi xed and mobile, voice and data) and by promoting a converged licensing
framework. We also acknowledge the evenhandedness of the TCRA authorities whilst processing our
application: you are truly creating an even playing fi eld for all operators, new and old.
    3) Ministry of Communications and Information
For their prompt answers and availability to respond to any queries or requests for clarifi cation related
to the license application procedures. We have been encouraged by the transparent nature of the
whole process and wish to convey our heartfelt thanks to the Minister, the Deputy Minister and
    other staff at the ministry.
    4) Financial Investors:
    PME Infrastructure Investment Fund Ltd
    • Mr. Richard Bouma, CEO, who has believed in the validity of this project from the early stages of
    the initial planning process.
    • Mr. Eric de Moudt, Investment Director, who has supported the development of the Business Plan
and secured the project through the required decision making bodies.
    5) Individuals:
    • Peter J Chitamu
Founder and main promoter of Dovetel, for putting extensive and varied effort into creating and
promoting this opportunity during a period of more than 4 years.
    • Mary Bundala
Our main local contact person for all Dovetel activities since March 2005. She has been instrumental
in acting as a link between TCRA and Dovetel Management throughout the license application
    process.
    • Gertrude Rwakatare
As the main fi nancier of the initial Dovetel activities, Gertrude assisted with payments for the
application and initial license fees as well as other major costs elements during 2005 and 2006 in

STATEMENT BY THE CEO OF DOVETEL MR CHRISTIAN ERLANDSEN ON THE OCCASION OF THE
ISSUING OF THE TELECOM LICENCE BY THE TCRA TO THE NEW PLAYER, DOVETEL
    Thursday 26th of June 2008
Today is a great day! It is a great day for the government of Tanzania! It is a great day for the TCRA!
It is a great day for the shareholders of Dovetel and it is most certainly a great day for the people of
Tanzania who will be the benefi ciaries of the competitive environment that the introduction of the
New Player in Telecom will encourage. It is therefore, Prof. Nkoma, a great honour and privilege for
Dovetel to be here today and receive this license.
It took a long time to come to where we are today. Though nobody likes to wait, particularly if the
waiting is a little long, this wait has been worthwhile.
Thanks to the signifi cant development in technology since 2005, Dovetel will with this license
be able to introduce, world-leading state-of-the-art telecommunications system for all market
    segments in Tanzania.
Dovetel is committed to go live early next year. We know this is a challenging schedule but it’s one
we have promised the TCRA, our owners and all our stake holders. So we will do everything we can
    to deliver.
Prof. Nkoma, may I take this opportunity to sincerely thank the TCRA for the professional and
transparent manner of handling the bidding process. I would also like to thank the Board of Directors
of the TCRA for showing their confi dence by approving the recommendation of the Management to
award the Telecom license to Dovetel.
Dovetel represents the ideal mix of ownership that a country such as Tanzania can dream about. It
is composed of highly respected telecom specialists from the academia, representatives from the
Tanzanian society and a dedicated fi nancial fund committed to investing in infrastructure in Sub-
    Sahara.
This has enabled Dovetel to start with a fully fi nanced business plan with the aim to become a
signifi cant player in the Tanzanian market.
I would also like to thank the owners and investors of Dovetel for choosing TMP as the management
and technical partner in the critical start up phase. TMP brings its expertise and experience from
around the globe, especially Africa, to this venture. On behalf of all shareholders I would again like to
    say thank you.
And now you all know which operator to use in 2009…

i would say they are extremely smart mzee...,GSM is thing of the past!it is now treated as the god old friend who once served the world same way people treat walkman's and their good old tapes!!

CDMA is the future..,bind it with 3G then you have the best of both worlds,CDMA phones are bulky now..,it's only a matter of time before we can see them in TZ.,

u won't miss GSM for sure for it is the past..,CDMA,3G,4G...,are the future.,

often companies who build base and forget of the hot thing in the market strive in the long run.,
