Hata mkewe wake, Alexandra, daktari wake, nao waliuawa pamoja naye.

Ni kweli but also let me ask you how many of them were given such an opportunity to compete one another? Au opportunity inakuwa presented for choosen few to grab it.

Sio Africa hakuna fair play duniani hamna fair play but this is the focal point Africa watu hugeuka kuwa wanyama saa zengine haki ikizidi kupotea sasa sijui unasemaje hapo? Mfano Senegal, Angola, Rwanda, Sudan etc sijui wasemaje.

Well and good, hata mimi nilishawahi kusema hili hapa, wengi wetu - ukiacha wale wanaoleta passion iwaambie nini cha ku vote- wako reasonable enough kujua hilo.

So long as umeamua kuandika, changia kitu solid.

This sitting on the fence business and saying generally "tusichague/kuwapa nafasi watu kwa sababu ya majina, lakini pia tusiwakatalie watu nafasi kwa sababu ya majina" is rather tired and smacks of fake modesty to me.

Al Pacino anakwambia if you want to shoot, shoot, don't talk.

I don't care much about name recognition and whatnot. So long as the person running has the bonafides...I have no qualms.

The author beats around the bush a lot to make one basic point which is we should elect leaders based on merit regardless of their last names. The author makes a good point in saying that there are people who come from political families who actually have the potential to be good leaders but there are those who clearly are in place simply because of name recognition.

Well it is hard to fault these children from political families. How many of us wouldn't do the same if we were in their position? How many of us haven't used some form of connection in order to get ahead? How many of us are where we at purely because of merit and our own doing? Could be we are just angry at people who were lucky enough to be born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Could be deep down inside we want the same opportunities they have.

This argument can be made for either side of the coin. Depends on how you view life in general. Mostly likely if one is born into prestige they will be against this argument & naturally I feel those of us who were born into normality would feel that we are in an unfair position. Just food for thought however.....if any of us ever succeed, how many of us won't use our money or connections to insure our children get ahead in life? Interesting topic.

    Pronto,

But the question remains, who has the bonafides and who is a pretender ?

This mind experiment is based on a fallacy (to my knowledge alternate universes and time travel are still a realm of science fiction) and at best is an exercise in futility.

Let's talk about what we know to be the case in this universe, not some conceptual speculation based on a nonexistent alternate universe.

"Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them".

Where were the Ridhiwanis a time before?

I repeat, only Idd Amin like people would see their political powers an opportunity for their incapable children.

Time will tell...nachojua we need to have strong leaders.
