CNN live wanaonyesha kikao cha UN Security Council cha kuilaani Syria kinaendela na inasemekana kuna veto, sina uhakika ni nani amesimamisha hiyo shilingi, so far wenye uwezo huo ni US, Russia,China et al

Sijajua ni taifa gani lime veto, bado nafuatilia kikao hiki, na nikipata taarifa kamili nitawajulisha...

A Western-backed resolution condemning the violent crackdown in Syria has been vetoed at the UN Security Council by Russia and China.
The two permanent members of the council rejected the draft resolution despite strong condemnation by US President Barack Obama of the violence.
The vote came just hours after activists accused the Syrian security forces of carrying out one of the bloodiest attacks since the uprising began, killing at least 55 people in the city of Homs.

Syrian crackdown is american and european sponsored.
The russian allowed them to utterly bomb libyans to grave,
Unlikely they will play passive role this time on Syria.

Sidhani kama itasaidia!US wakiamua mambo huwa hawasikilizi hata hao UN ninauhakika very soon Syria watavamiwa na marekani na washirika wake!!

Inavyoonekana, hawa watu wataingilia kuilinda Syria isivamiwe, naona wana wasiwasi kuwa nchi zote za west wanataka kumiliki much more territories na kuwa much more influencing.
Lets wait and see.

....The United States is disgustedthat a couple of members of this Council continue to prevent us from fulfilling our sole purpose here adressing an ever deepening crisis in Syria and a growing threat to regional peace and security. For months this Council has been held hostage by a couple of members. These members stand behind empty arguments and individual interests while delaying and seeking to strip bare any text that will pressure Assad to change his actions. This intrasigence is even more shameful when you consider that at least one of these members continues todeliver weapons to Assad. The United statets has long said that it is past time that this Council assumed its responsibilities and imposed tough targeted sanctions and an arms embargo on the Assad regime as many individual countries have already done. But this draft did'nt even do that. The text simply supported an Arab League's plan that Assad himself already agreed to uphold and the subsequent ArabLeague decision towards a peaceful resolution of the crisis....''

SOurce: BBC News - US 'disgust' as Russia and China veto UN Syria resolution

UPDATE
China and Russia blocked the proposed draft UN Security Council resolution which sought to draw the Arab league initiative, requiring theSyrian President Al-assad to relinguish power to his deputy. Theother 13 Member States of the Security Council voted for theresolution.
Theonly one of the Council which represents an Arab country, Morocco'sUnited Nations Ambassador Mohammed Loulichki expressed his "deep disappointment" over Russian and Chinese vetoes. France's UN Ambassador Gerard Araud said it "was a dark day for thiscouncil, a dark day for syria and a dark day for democracy".
U.S.Secretary of State Hillary Clinton noted that it "had not been possible to overcome the divisions with Russia."
Clinton also stated according to news agency, Reuters, stated that a "military intervention in Syria was absolutely excluded."
-Those who block this resolution also carries responsibility for the horrors that are taking place in Syria, she said with a clear address to Russia and during her visit to Bulgaria, she added that the veto was a ''travesty''-http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/05/us-syria-usa-idUSTRE8140C920120205
Itis estimated that at least 260 people, according to Syrian opposition have been killed in army attack in the city of Hom. The Security Council meeting reffered to the situation as "one of the most horrific massacres" so far during the rebellion.
The opposition group Syrian Human Rights Observatory (Syria HR) alerted on Friday about how the military in full force started to attack the city of Homs, and in particular al-Khalidiyya, a neighborhood known for rebellion against the Syrian regime.
-The Syrian troops bombarded the area with grenades from several directions. Many buildings on fire, some are destroyed, said Syria HR director Rami Abdel Rahman told Reuters. Since many houses collapsed indicated the death toll to over 200, on Saturday morning counted 260 dead.
The National Opposition, SNC, which resembles the Libyan model ,describes the development in Homs as "one of the most horrific massacres since the beginning of the uprising in Syria." SNC also requires that "Russia changes its attitude." If the outside world to have a UN mandate to intervene - as happenedin Libya, Russia must pass a strongly worded resolution.
-The draft does not suit us at all, said Foreign Minister Sergei Lovrov toRussian television in Moscow few hours before the vote in the Security Council.
Russia thinks that the events in Syria is an internal affair, and are convinced that the UNSC Resolution will encourage regime change in Syria. '' We are not saying that this resolution is hopeless,'' said Lavrov to delegates at the security conference currently underway in Munich, Germany. The Russian foreign minister also said he already had discussions with his American colleague, Hillary Clinton and that they would continue discussions on the City of Munich for a resolution. It remains unclear whether the conversation between them led to the parties converged. Lavrov, together with the intelligence chief and prime minister Mikhail Fradkov to travel to Syria on Tuesday - February 7 - to meet the country's President Basharal-Assad, said the Russian news agency Itar-Tass. President Obama calls, after the bloodbath in Homs, to the Syrian president's immediate resignation and the process of transition to democracy begins.
The regime in Damascus allege involvement of foreign forces aimed to destabilise the government. In Homs, it is about "innocentcitizens have been kidnapped, tortured and killed by the armed terrorist groups," groups "supported by some countries such as [/FONT]Qatar, Turkey, France and many others, "wrote the state news agency Sana on Saturday, citing to anonymous sources in Damascus. According to Sana,it is about "a hysterical campaign" just to "affect some countries' stance on the UN Security Council." The last few days also comes with reports from around the world that the Syrian embassies have been stormed by angry exiled Syrians. In Tunis, the Syrian flag was down from the embassy building after the newTunisian rulers said that the ambassador was no longer desirable inthe country.http://www.trust.org/alertnet/news/syrian-embassy-in-tunisia-lowers-flag

hakuna "so far wenye uwezo huo ni US "..... members wenye veto powers ni permanent, wako watano. Hakuna kitu kama "so far."
Sijui sana issue za diplamasia, however "so far" as in kuna uwezekano wa kupatikana wengine zaidi wakawa na uwezo wa veto?

Ok ni permanent na wako watano, nimemention wengine na kumalizia na "et al"

Soma taratibu na ujishughulishe kufkiri zaidi, kama una ufahamu zaidi wa what determines the veto power, yani hata kama hayo mataifa matano ni permenent, na kuna uwezekano wa kuongezeka kwa taifa jingine na kuwa na status ya permenent, then i stand with "so far"

Upo?
