I am a founder of what we call Sokoine University Graduate Entrepreneurs Cooperative Society LTD (SUGECO). This organization was formed with assistance of Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, in the Faculty of Agriculture, SUA. The main objective of this organization is basically to organize and assist SUA graduates to take up the business opportunities in the country start businesses to employ themselves and create jobs for others. Your company is doing that. This is an invitation to join SUGECO. Detail about membership is in the brochure. At the moment the organization is based at DAEA as a promoter and I am interim chair.
Most Important: SUGECO needs your help!
We have applied for a grant to help us startup business incubators and have endowment funds to backup loans that we will get from CRDB. There are good prospect that if we provide needed information we will get this grant. The organization requires us to provide success stories of SUA graduate who have invested in Agriculture/agribusiness and succeeded. Your company is one of them. I believe you will like to help your young brothers and sisters to get this help. If so, I am hereby request you to share will us a one-page narrative of your successes so that we can submit this for our grant application. If there is anyway you can show where SUA helped e.g. consultation with SUA members even for encouragement, or technology etc it will be very helpful. Unfortunately we need this information ASAP. Sorry for short notice but I believe you already have it somewhere in your archives. Kindly provide us with the following information to assist us communicate success stories to our prospective donors.
The outline:
1. Name of company
2. History of the company include description of the business (business profile)
3. Status of the company now
4. Future plans
5. Challenges you faced after graduation and who facilitated your establishment and what role SUA played or could have played to
make things easier for you
6. What role can SUGECO play for: a. New graduates who aspire to start own businesses b. Existing graduate businesses like yourself
