    Old pirates, yes, they rob I;

    Sold I to the merchant ships,
    Minutes after they took I
    From the bottomless pit.

    But my hand was made strong

    By the 'and of the Almighty.
    We forward in this generation
    Triumphantly.
    Won't you help to sing
    This songs of freedom

    'Cause all I ever have:
    Redemption songs;
    Redemption songs.

    Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
    None but ourselves can free our minds.
    Have no fear for atomic energy,

    'Cause none of them can stop the time.

    How long shall they kill our prophets,
    While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
    Some say it's just a part of it:
    We've got to fullfil the book.( naomba kitabu hiki iwe katiba ya sasa pamoja na mapungufu yake) tudai nchi yetu na kuwa na uhuru kamili

    Won't you help to sing
    This songs of freedom-
    'Cause all I ever have:
    Redemption songs;
    Redemption songs;
    Redemption songs.
    ---
    /Guitar break/
    ---
    Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
    None but ourselves can free our mind.

    Wo! Have no fear for atomic energy,
    'Cause none of them-a can-a stop-a the time.
    How long shall they kill our prophets,
    While we stand aside and look?
    Yes, some say it's just a part of it:
    We've got to fullfil the book.
    Won't you have to sing
    This songs of freedom? -
    'Cause all I ever had:
    Redemption songs -
    All I ever had:
    Redemption songs:
    These songs of freedom,
    Songs of freedom.

    consciously or unconsciously, we expect a return for each and every thing we do. If we love, we expect to be loved in return.If we help, the man helped by us must repay at least in gratefulness.We are decent and courteous because that is the only way we can expect others to be so towards us.This is vicious cycle --this expectation of return. We become slaves since we are unable to do anything except for a return. Now what is the way out?

    Ta Muganyizi you are very right, that atomic energy can not stop time but it stops the lives, think of what Dr Ulimboka is going through think of the lives of people and expecting mothers who are now crying looking for attention but and body cares.

    those who have powers are now sitting in air conditioned room, talking unbecoming issues and at last they open up their pockets to receive the returns under the name of bunge. are they real representing their people if are dying out here like hell?

    si busara kushabikia hata yaliyo maovu. By the road side Ulimboka anamtetea nani? Au kwa sababu wengi tuko nyuma ya uovu ndo maana tunatetea uovu.
