The Health, Nutrition & HIV Programme Manager will be accountable for the overall operational and technical programme management of the Health, Nutrition & HIV program portfolio.
Job Purpose: As the Health, Nutrition & HIV Programme Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall Health, Nutrition & HIV strategy, policy and practice to increase capacity of staff, civil society organisations, government and other stakeholders for improved Health, Nutrition & HIV programme delivery country-wide. This will include leading effective implementation of planned strategic objectives for Health, Nutrition & HIV, program quality improvement, documentation and proposal development to mobilize new resources and advising Management regarding development of this program area.

Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;
- A minimum of Bachelors degree in Public Health , Health Sciences, Nursing, Development Studies, or a relevant field. Graduate or post-graduate training in public health, epidemiology, project planning & management, monitoring and evaluation , community development & research or a related field is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 8 years relevant working experience with at least 3 years at management level in an international NGO.
- Experience in Health, Nutrition & HIV programming.
- Working knowledge of programming and policy development.
- A professional progression towards increasing technical responsibilities.
- Strategic management skills.
- Computer literacy skills & MS Office applications, word, excel, PowerPoint, Spreadsheets.
- Representational, advocacy and diplomatic skills, including experience of building personal networks at a senior level, resulting in securing new opportunities for the organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children strategy, vision, mission, values and principles; good understanding and commitment to principles of child rights and child protection .
- Ability and willingness to undertake periodic field travel to up-country and in insecure areas.
