The FDU-Inkingi denounces the manoeuvres of the Rwandan dictatorial regime aimed at preventing its citizens from returning to their home country freely.
According to reliable sources, including Reuters, RFI and the leadership of the Ishema Party, Rwandan immigration officials allegedly put pressure on Kenya Airways to prevent embarking on its plane to Kigali, Rev. Father Thomas Nahimana and his delegation, on Wednesday 23 November 2016.
According to the press release issued by the party, the delegation led by its Secretary General father Thomas Nahimana was on its way to Rwanda to set up its political party headquarters and carry out its political activities in Rwanda.
We take this opportunity to condemn the determination of the RPF dictatorship to monopolize the political space. At the same time, we denounce the hypocrisy of the regime which, while demanding the application of the cessation clause of the UN Convention on Refugees, and the forced return of refugees, it blocked access to Rwandan territory, Rwandan citizens wishing to return peacefully and spontaneously to the country.
