Pres. Obama Supports Building of Mosque Near Ground Zero

I think there are some issues here.

Muslims in Manhattan have the right to practice a religion at the particular place in Manhattan and if there is a place then the issue of having a mosque come and the muslims from Manhattan to have to build a mosque in Manhattan and not travelling to other places to find a mosque to worship.

The other thing is the American conservatives's failure or their ignorance to abandon the fact that Islam and extremists are two different things. Radical islamism still exist and there are plenty of people out there who have different concept and interpretation. That is why radicals have to be dealt with and uprooted to face consequences.

I have seen mosques turned into major hubs for jihadist many travelling to places of ongoing conficts in Afghanstan and Iraq to fight the so called holly war and these mosques had to be closed .

But these people have been investigated and finally dealt with and Finsbury park mosque in London and Taiba mosque (used to be called al-Quds Mosque) in Hamburg's St Georg district are examples of those mosques which had played important role of recruiting and meeting points for islamic radicals.

A place of worship cannot commit crime but it can assemble radical islamists and send them somewhere and we see today when some boys who are American citizens of Somali origin who where welcomed in USA as refugees and are now travelling back to Somaliland to fight alongside their Somali brothers.

But all these doesn't justfy to totally alienate and discredit Islam as a religion.

The Hindus have temples, Jews have synagogues, christians have churches and off course -pagans have trees and bushes.

Boehner ducks Obama religion question

CLEVELAND - House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) declined to answer a question about whether he believes President Barack Obama is a Muslim, saying there are more important things to worry about in America.

"No," he said when he was asked if he would like to weigh in. "American people are worried about the economy and spending."

Recent polls have shown that 20 percent of Americans still believe Obama is a Muslim, despite the fact that he has been practicing Christianity.

Boehner, speaking at the Cleveland City Club, also weighed in on the mosque controversy in New York. He defended the developer's right to build the mosque in lower Manhattan but said it was not the right thing to do.

"Just because they have the right to do it doesn't mean it's the right thing to do," he said. "When you look at America and you think about religion, what's the first word that comes to mind? Tolerance. Part of tolerance is being respectful of others and other people's feelings. And I think that's the point that's being driven here."

Hii habari ya msikiti inaonekana ni hot potato hata kwa hao Republican wenyewe. Jamaa amekula kona kujibu swali hapo!.
