By the way, suspect ni black man, kazi kweli kweli.

TACOMA, Wash. — A sheriff's official in Washington state says four police officers have been shot dead in ambush at a coffee house.

Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune in Tacoma that the officers were sitting in the coffee shop Sunday morning with their computers when the shooter came in Sunday morning.

He says investigators believe the officers were targeted, and it was not a robbery.

Troyer tells the newspaper "it was just a flat out ambush."

He could not immediately say what agency the officers were from. Police were searching for a male suspect and interviewing witnesses. The coffee shop is near McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma.

"We hopefully will have answers, but there is nothing more we can tell you," Troyer told KING-TV. "That's as cold-hearted as it is."

PARKLAND, Wash. (AP/HuffPost)— A convicted felon granted clemency nine years ago by former Arkansas Governor and 2008 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, is wanted for questioning in the shooting deaths of four police officers in Washington state.

Maurice Clemmons, the man wanted for questioning, has been convicted of five felonies in Arkansas and has been charged with eight felonies in Washington state.

The Seattle Times spoke to the prosecuting attorney in Arkansas who opposed Huckabee's clemency for Clemmons:
"This is the day I've been dreading for a long time," Larry Jegley, prosecuting attorney for Arkansas' Pulaski County said Sunday night when informed that Clemmons was being sought in connection to the killings...
Clemmons had been in jail in Pierce County for the past several months on a pending charge of second-degree rape of a child.

One of four police officers killed in the ambush fought with the suspect and may have wounded him before the officer died just outside the doorway, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told reporters that investigators were asking area medical providers to report any people wounded by gunshots.

Troyer said investigators believe two of the officers were shot dead while sitting in the shop, and a third was killed after standing up. The fourth apparently struggled with the gunman out the doorway and "gave up a good fight," getting off a few shots before he was either shot there or succumbed to earlier wounds.

"We believe there was a struggle, a commotion, a fight ... that he fought the guy all the way out the door," Troyer said.
He added, "We hope that he hit him."

The gunman burst into the coffee house Sunday morning and opened fire on the officers as they sat working on their laptops, killing the three men and one woman in what Troyer described as a targeted ambush.
Troyer said officers were looking for one male suspect who fled the scene and haven't ruled out an accomplice, possibly a getaway driver.

Troyer said investigators determined that a hoax call from a person in nearby Tacoma led officers to believe the gunman was on foot and still near the coffee shop. A number of officers spent part of the afternoon carefully searching buildings close by.

Troopers and other law enforcement officials are helping with the investigation in the Tacoma suburb of about 60,000, which is about 40 miles southwest of Seattle and near McChord Air Force Base.

We have somebody out there who blatantly went in and opened fire on four police officers, killing all four of them,"

The identities of the victims -- who were all wearing uniform including bulletproof vests at the time of the attack -- were released.

The dead were named as Sergeant Mark Renninger, 39, Ronald Owens, 37, Tina Griswold, 40, and Greg Richards, 42. All of the officers were married with children.

The suspected gunman was described as a "black male in his 20s or 30s"

Police set up tiplines and offered a 10,000-dollar reward for anyone with information about those responsible for the shooting.

In a police state where people are unfairly arrested, convicted and targeted, killings like these will always happen. We better get used to it, I know I am.

Gunman Still at Large

SEATTLE — Authorities believe the man sought in the slaying of four police officers is still alive and has been aided by a network of friends and family, a police spokesman said Monday night.

Officers surrounded a home in the Seattle suburb of Renton Monday evening, the second time in two days police had circled a home in their search for suspected cop killer Maurice Clemmons. Police questioned residents thought to have aided the suspect since the Sunday morning shootings.

Officers believe Clemmons was shot in the abdomen during the attack on the officers at a Parkland coffee shop, and had speculated he might have died.

But Ed Troyer, a spokesman for the Pierce County Sheriff, said investigators have questioned several people who have provided assistance to Clemmons since the Sunday morning shootings.
"We think his network of people helping him is running out." Troyer said. "He's probably on his own."

Police are also certain Clemmons, 37, was in a Seattle house on Sunday night, but was able to flee before police could contain the area. Police staked out that house overnight before SWAT team members determined early Monday that Clemmons wasn't there.

Clemmons has had access to handguns, rifles and shotguns, Troyer said.
"It's unfortunate he's been a step or two ahead of us."

Wameshamuua.

Evidence gani tena unataka wakati jamaa kawaua polisi hadharani? Kuna mashahidi walioshuhudia, kuna video surveillance camera....sasa ushahidi gani unataka tena?

"Witnesses say Clemmons was shot in the torso during the Sunday morning attack, and blood and gauze bandages were found in a truck linked to Clemmons, Troyer said"

Kutoka CNN hiyo,....apparently kuna mashahidi walioshuhudia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Troyer told KIRO 7 early Monday that Clemmons was upgraded from a person of interest to a suspect because investigators found evidence Clemmons was wounded during the Sunday morning attack. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Clemmons on four counts of first-degree murder."

Kutoka KIRO, CNN's local affiliate......

Ndiyo maana wenye pesa wana get away alot of times from legal issues kwa sababu wana uwezo wa kupata mawakili wazuri.

Sasa wanajuta kumpa parole!

Seattle cop-killer Maurice Clemmons drove across the country to New York in June to see a Manhattan minister, declaring God told him to make the trip.

He disturbed a June 13 prayer service, trying to rush the stage and yelling.

The next day, he approached Bishop Bernard Jordan at a gala banquet to say he was on the lam from the police.

"Then he said he was Jesus. I was kind of shocked," Jordan told the Daily News.

"We said, 'If you keep talking like that, you will be locked up and put away.' I'm not a professional in mental health, but you can always tell when someone's nuts."

Even more disturbing, Jordan said, was that Clemmons traveled to New York with a sidekick who clearly had bought into his delusions.

"There was another guy with him saying, 'My man here is Jesus and he has worked miracles,'" the minister recounted.

Video shot of Jordan's birthday banquet at the Grand Hyatt on 42nd St. shows the other man, whose last name is Carlisle, trying to convince Jordan that Clemmons is Jesus Christ.

It also shows Clemmons telling Jordan that he showed up without registering because "God called me."

Jordan, who says he is a prophet, has a TV show on BET and runs a lucrative "cyber-ministy" on Riverside Drive, said he counseled Clemmons to turn himself in.

"I do believe that God does speak. If he felt that he had to drive three days to get here, I had a responsibility to help him," Jordan said.

"I told him to turn himself in. I told him, 'I am sensing strongly that this is something you should do. You should not be on the run. You should get help.'"

Clemmons, who used a Twitter account solely to try and contact Jordan and logged into Jordan's online chats, appears to have listened to the minister.

Two weeks later, he showed up at a July 1 court hearing in Seattle and was promptly arrested on numerous outstanding charges.

Police had been looking for Clemmons since May, when he punched a cop in the face during a domestic dispute at his house and threw bricks through windows of houses and cars on his street.

More seriously, he was also charged with child rape for ordering two young relatives to strip naked and fondle him for what he called religious reasons.

Clemmons spent the following months in prison and was released on bail last week.

He got out of jail in such a fury that he went out Sunday and shot four random uniformed cops doing paperwork in a coffee shop, according to Seattle officials.

"The only motive we have is that he decided he was going to go kill police officers. He was angry about being incarcerated for the eight or nine weeks prior to the shootings," said Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer.

Clemmons was shot dead Tuesday by a Seattle patrolman investigating his broken-down car.
