Police gun down seven people in Kawangware

Business wars in Kawangware in Nairobi , last night led to the demise of seven taxi drivers, shot dead by police. Chaos reigned in Kawangware this morning as angry residents protested against the killings . Mystery still surrounds the killings but as Yassin Juma reports, some are blaming the massacre on a false alarm raised by the boda boda operators.

Sametime Questions are being raised over the manner police handled investigations into the grisly murder of a university lecturer , killed in the Ruiru three weeks ago. The deceaseds former husband also a university don and his current wife were arrested following the murder and released days later. The slain lecturers three daughters now say the people who killed their mother are known .

This is surely terrible. Let's not drag EAC into this. It also happens in other jurisdiction that police just shoot without enough evidence. Police killed two gentlemen in Arusha after being called by petrol service station attendants as suspected while they were not and what police did is just opening fire on them!!! It happens a lot in Tanzania, even in Uganda, don't talk of Rwanda and Burundi as they may be the worst, the only thing hiding it is the media in those location lacking enough freedom to report or not being proactive. Lets think of how can we stop killing of the innocent civilians on the simple words of robbery suspect!!!!! It is rediculous, it is indeed!!!

You people when will you be tired of being simple minded!!sasa how does EAC come in?this were Taxi drivers who were fighting thier rivals "boda boda" motocyclers and police were called in to stop it as a result 7 taxi operatoes were gunned down by police.the police are to blame here for using excessive force,this are people's husbands and fathers that are dead.
Am glad though that anything happening in Kenya attracts your attention keep on .
