One day! People of Republic of Tanzania will come together and raise their voices in unison to say to President Kikwete, to all members of the Kikwete’s Administration, to the members of parliament, and to much of the mainstream media: "You have failed us miserably and we won't take it any more."

While we had every reason to expect far more of you, you have been incompetent as you have led this great nation to a stream of pompous, greedy, and corruption. You have breached trust with the Tanzanian people in the most egregious ways. You have utterly failed in the performance of your jobs. You have undermined our Constitution, permitted the violation of the most fundamental treaty obligations, and betrayed the rule of law.

You have engaged in, or permitted, heinous leadership abuses of the sort never before countenanced in our nation's history as a matter of official policy. You have taken Tanzanian men and women for granted. You have continued to honor your predecessors’ legacy of denying Tanzanians rights to a fair living. You have continued to provide shield to your greedy arrogance friends. You have proven to be an incompetent leader, a leader without even a coherent plan for every monumental blunder in our country.

You have acted in direct contravention of values that we, as Tanzanians who love our country, hold dear. You have deceived us in the most cynical, outrageous ways. You have undermined, or allowed the undermining of, our constitutional system of checks and balances among all the presumed equal branches of government. You have helped lead our nation to the brink of corruption, of a fraud contemptuous of our nation's treaty obligations, federal statutory law, our Constitution, and the rule of law.

Because of you (and your predecessors), and because of your jingoistic false 'patriotism,' our country is far poorer, our nation is far more despised, and the threat of diseases are far greater than ever before. It has been absolutely astounding how you have committed the most horrendous habits of frequent-flying, spending millions and millions of much-needed monies unwisely; while the lives of million of Tanzanians are continuously lacking basic human needs. Yet you still wear smile on your face, asserting your ‘Hari Mpya-Nguvu Mpya-Kasi Mpya’ nonesense - when what you have done flies in the face of every Tanzanian (except your greedy pals). Your hypocrisy is mind-boggling - and disgraceful.

What part of the "Golden rule" don’t you understand? What part of "be honest," "be responsible," and "be accountable" don't you understand? One day Kikwete, one day! We will look straight up in your shameless eyes and tell you: We won't take it any more! One Day!

***Altered to fit audience. The original speech was by Mayor Ross C. "Rocky" Anderson (former mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah)***

Mungu ibariki Tanzania, let's stay strong and focus we have a long way to go.

A moving post but like most other constructive discussions on Tanzanian politics, I can't help but feel that we are banging our heads against the wall.

Yes, it might not be any of those two languages above. Kama walivyo tumbili, MAFISADI wanaelewa body language & gestures kuliko.

Hahahahah! Huo mfano ume-fit vilivyo kwenye mada; umeutoa wapi mshkaji?
And we may even need not speak directly to them.

    Tonga,
Hili swali huwa najiuliza kila siku. Ni lini watasema kuwa "Ok I have had enough. Now it's time to deliver!" I mean, how much can you steal and accumulate wealth in such a country where majority live below poverty line? Just how much?

How good can you feel when you are flooded with stolen wealth, while the people you stole from can't even afford a single healthy meal?

Tuachieni nchi yetu." Siku hiyo itakuja!!!

    One Day????????

When all our resources have been looted and all thats left is holes in the ground?

When all our animals have been poached?

When there is no more snow on Kili?

When the next generation is just as incompetent and incapable as this generation because our schools failed them?

When the whole country is in the dark because TANESCO has been looted?

When our ports are abandoned for Mombasa or Mozambique because of incompetence and corruption?

    .....

Please tell me when Tanzanians will finally wake up because it will soon be too late.

Ukijaribu kuizika iko siku itafufuka" Haya basi subirini siku yakifika shingoni, mafisadi mtajaza.

    QM,

We would rather start all over again building our nation (after they steal everything from us), other than let them continue taking us for a ride.

So regardless of what might be left for us at that day, we will still force them out. We just won't stand them anymore!

    Tonga,

According to the dataz ni kwamba Makamba yupo mbioni kumuingiza bungeni mtoto wake mmoja wa kike, anayemfanyia kazi Rostam, kwa kweli it got to stop!
