"He will work with the leaders of the region and international community to bring about a lasting political solution," he said. "I expect all those with a stake in region's future - the Security Council, the African Union and the European Union - to support him to the fullest."Ban Ki-moon!

    MY TAKE
One thing I fail to understand is wether the UN despite its deployment of so many soldiers that is approximately one soldier for every 10,000 citizens still the country is ravaged by wars fail to understand that this so many wars here in Africa are in one way or the other financed by the Western Countries?
DRC is one of the richest countries in Africa but it has never enjoyed a period of peace.
I believ the UN in one way or the other know the perptrators and financiers of these war but they have failed drastically to bring peace.
