Mkuu punguza jazba, sidhani kama kuna historia yoyote inayoonesha kuwa nchi zotezilizo wanachama wa OIC zina vurugu/zinaua/zinatekeleza ubaguzi baina ya wananchi wake. Twendeni tu hatua kwa hatua, tujenge hoja, tuone faida na hasara zinazoweza kutokana na kujiunga na OIC. Binafsi naona kama tunaweza kuwahukumu vibaya wenzetu wa imani ya kiislamu katika ombi lao la kjiunga na OIC. Je tunazosababu za msngi za kukataa kujiunga na OIC? tuanayo mifano hai ya kukataa kujiunga na OIC. Napata shida kidogo pale ambapo wakristu tunaposema kujiunga na OIC ni kkuifanya Tz kuwa nchi ya kidini na tunasahau kuwa hicho kitendo tu cha kusema hivyo bila ya kutoa sababu za kuukataa mpango huo tayari ni udini.

Unataka historia gani? Misri,Syria,Libya,Tunisia na wengine kama wapo hiyo mifano haitoshi? Objectives and Principles
Article 1
The objectives of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference shall be:
1. To enhance and consolidate the bonds of fraternity and solidarity among the
Member States;
2. To safeguard and protect the common interests and support the legitimate
causes of the Member States and coordinate and unify the efforts of the
Member States in view of the challenges faced by the Islamic world in
particular and the international community in general;
3. To respect the right of self-determination and non-interference in the domestic
affairs and to respect sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of
each Member State;
4. To support the restoration of complete sovereignty and territorial integrity of
any Member State under occupation, as a result of aggression, on the basis of
international law and cooperation with the relevant international and regional
organisations;
5. To ensure active participation of the Member States in the global political,
economic and social decision-making processes to secure their common
interests;
6. To promote inter-state relations based on justice, mutual respect and good
neighbourliness to ensure global peace, security and harmony;
7. To reaffirm its support for the rights of peoples as stipulated in the UN Charter
and international law;
8. To support and empower the Palestinian people to exercise their right to selfdetermination
and establish their sovereign State with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its
capital, while safeguarding its historic and Islamic character as well as the
Holy places therein;
9. To strengthen intra-Islamic economic and trade cooperation; in order to
achieve economic integration leading to the establishment of an Islamic
Common Market;
10. To exert efforts to achieve sustainable and comprehensive human
development and economic well-being in Member States;
11. To disseminate, promote and preserve the Islamic teachings and values based
on moderation and tolerance, promote Islamic culture and safeguard Islamic
heritage;
12. To protect and defend the true image of Islam, to combat defamation of Islam
and encourage dialogue among civilisations and religions;
13. To enhance and develop science and technology and encourage research and
cooperation among Member States in these fields;
14. To promote and to protect human rights and fundamental freedoms including
the rights of women, children, youth, elderly and people with special needs as
well as the preservation of Islamic family values;
15. To emphasize, protect and promote the role of the family as the natural and
fundamental unit of society;
16. To safeguard the rights, dignity and religious and cultural identity of Muslim
communities and minorities in non-Member States;
17. To promote and defend unified position on issues of common interest in the
international fora;
18. To cooperate in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,
organised crime, illicit drug trafficking, corruption, money laundering and
human trafficking;
19. To cooperate and coordinate in humanitarian emergencies such as natural
disasters;
20. To promote cooperation in social, cultural and information fields among the
Member States....

"IT comes as a surprise to many Ugandans that our country is a member state of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC). With Christians making up 80% of the population and Muslims accounting for only 12 %, it is indeed a surprise that Uganda belongs to a Muslim body. Delegates from the OIC member states met in Kampala from June 16 to June 20 to discuss issues affecting them. How Uganda found herself in the same block with Arab countries can be traced to one ambitious leader.

He had to find a way to strengthen his weakening political base. He did not look further than the Muslim world, which was sympathetic to his political woes.The year was 1974, and Idi Amin Dada placed Uganda in the fold of OIC.

His hope was that in any eventuality of war, his brothers in faith would offer their support to ensure his stay in power. It never happened. Instead, when Amin was overthrown in 1979 and Saudi Arabia did the next best thing — they offered him asylum.


He welcomed their offer and enjoyed Saudi Arabia’s hospitality up to the time of his death in 2003. But 29 years after Amin’s overthrow, Uganda is still a member of the OIC. Many Christian leaders are not amused by this, and have tried several times to cut Uganda’s ties with the body."

The OIC summit in Dakar earlier this year decided onthe establishment of a $10b Islamic solidarity fund. Uganda, as a member ofOIC, will be a direct beneficiary of the fund.

katika mafundisho haya ya DINI SIASA yaliyoasisiwa na OIC yamefanikiwa kuzalisha makundi ya KIGAIDI na MISIMAMO MIKALI YA DINI-SIASA[UDINI] ndiyo maana nchi ambazo zilikuwa za mwanzo kujiunga na jumuiya hii kwa sasa zinakabiliwa na mfumuko wa siasa kali za udini,
UDINI ulionwa kuwa ndiyo njia pekee ya kuyayafikia malengo, yaani kuwafundisha vijana wa kiislam kuwa ADUI YAO NI YULE ANAYEWANYIMA HAKI YA KUWA NA YERUSALEM.
