No confusion, its the same Noble or Nobel, its only a matter of language and where you are. Noble forms the name of the award and it is not an award for nobility but if you are not noble you can't win the award. Nyerere was not.

The name of the award is not "Noble" it is "Nobel". From the name of Alfred Nobel, that Swedish inventor of modern dynamite who felt so bad after realizing his inventions caused so many deaths so that he used some of his money to establish the Nobel prize.

Yes, when you speak rikssvenska or "National Swedish" which is spoken in Stockholm and as a noun "Nobel" would be perfect but on the other hand when you speak of it as adjective and in English "Noble" would work, Nyerere was not noble (adjective), not the noun its the language, pure English.
