Water minister Charity Ngilu has reignited her war of words with Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka saying the latter is not fit to lead Kenyans. Mrs Ngilu said the VP does not deserve to be Kenya's next president because he has little to show for his long time in politics and government. "He has been an elected leader for too long but there is nothing to show for it. He can make those he would lead to suffer, she said on the sidelines of the Annual National Water Sector conference in Nairobi Wednesday. The two leaders are battling for supremacy in Ukambani and Mrs Ngilu's latest jibe is likely to escalate their differences ahead of the General Election. The minister said Mr Musyoka, in his time as MP and Cabinet minister spanning more than 20 years, has failed to take a firm position on national matters. He is a person who is here today and there tomorrow. Do we need such a person (to be our president)? Mrs Ngilu did not delve into alleged failures of the VP since he joined politics as Mwingi North MP in 1985. In a rejoinder, Mr Musyoka accused the Water minister of hypocrisy and challenged her to explain why the people of Mwingi North have been electing him if at all he had nothing to offer.
