Need a Help, Dell Latitude D620 Laptop

I am on a Dell Latitude D620 Laptop, when I boot the system, most of the time, I get a black screen with an error before the BIOS loads that reads as follows:

"The Device in the system modular bay cannot be identified. It may not be completely inserted or may have some other problem. Please read and complete the following steps.

1. Press the device completely and firmly into the bay.
2. Press the ESC-key -- wait for the system to power down.
3. Press the power button to retry detecting the device."

If you press escape the error disappear and computer starts, If you wait for minutes the computer goes off.!!


Please any one who can help how to solve this !!

Mkuu hii inawezekana ikawa DVD/CD Drive haijaingia vizuri kwenye bay yake. Jaribu kuzima Laptop uiondoe hii DVD/CD Drive halafu uiwashe tena (bila DVCD/CD Drive) au itoe halafu uirudishe tena...then washa Laptop. Kama bado tatizo lipo, fanya hivyo hivyo kwenye Hard drive yako (toa halafu na kuirudisha tena..hakikisha imeingia sawa). Mara nyingi "modular bay" inamaanisha sehemu ya DVD/CD drive.

Ilikuwa inafanya kazi vizuri kabla?

Hii hapa DVD-ROM drive yake huchomoka.
Jaribu kuitoa ya kwako na uwashe laptop bila DVD-ROM drive kuwemo.
Baadae irudishie na ufanye number 1 kwenye post yako.

HDD inaweza kuwa na tatizo.
1) It is not correctly seated
2) Jumpers zake zimewekwa pasipo (shouldn't be slave)

Kabla ya kufungua kwenye HDD, (hasa kama bado ina warranty) ni vyema kwanza uka-chat na watu wa Dell.

Thanks for everyone contributed on this matter. It is now working correctly. I just removed and replaced again the DVD/CD and HDD then followed steps above. No error message anymore.
