Naomba Ushauri

Asante brother Kipanga.

Huo ndio ukweli whether we like it or not. Asante.

Pole. I can only imagine what it is like being in your shoes. I just wanted to say no matter where you go in this world, the better your network the easier it is to get a job. Sio Tanzania tu. I dont know where people come up with these ideas. Mimi naona wengine husema hivyo to comfort themselves with the decision they made of staying abroad among other things.

Mwanzo mgumu. No matter where you are. So far, you have proved you have the determination to do what you set yourself to achieve. Succeeding in Tanzania shouldnt be any different. Im not saying you should go back home, Im just saying dont use not being well networked as a reason. Kwanza the more you stay away the more you are out of touch. If you have a Business degree and graduated with honors I dont see why you wont get a descent job in Tanzania. Kazi utapata. Maybe sio ya kukulipa $3000 at first but the only way you can also get there is by proving you can and making a name for yourself.

I also dont think its fair for your family to rely on you 100%. This might make you anxious and lead you to making not-so-wise choices in the end. Just think, if you werent around tomorrow (God forbid) watalala njaa? Im sure they also have an income of some sort. So if I were you, I would base my decision on a number of things put together. Where would YOU want to be, your family situation, where you see yourself in future etc etc.

Another option kama hutaki ku-take a big risk is by applying for jobs while you are still in the US. There are African career fairs held once in a while and some companies do interviews over the phone (though these are few).

Thats what i can say about going back to Tanzania. I dont know much about staying in the US. What about applying for a working visa as a foreigner?

All the best to you.

Big up Tanzanian female!!

You have put everything into perspective for this young man. No matter where you are, if you are qualified for the job, the employer does not look beyond that to employ a person he/she knows when what she /he needs is right in front of him/her.

I mentioned going back to TZ because that was the other option that this fellow had. For someone to be educated and to sit doing otherwise is a real shame.

Dear Kuhani,
I am in the US for a purpose and a timed schedule. When I am done with whatever I came to do, I will be on the first plane home..........trust me. There is nothing that the US can offer me at this point in my life apart from good roads, timely service, good social services and the like. There is much more in store for me in my motherland. Lets leave it at that.....
Sijajibakiza US if that is what you imply. I am just a person traveling through.

Ndugu Bilionea,

Kuna fursa nyingi ziko wazi hapa. Mtaji hata wa $5,000 tu utakupeleka mbali Bongo. Ukishaanzisha kitu tu, safari moja itaanzisha nyingine.

Na mwisho kabisa, my friend Bilionea, The US is the land of winners, optimists, positive thinkers and opportunists. When you step out of the US (especially after 8 years) into the outside world you should probably fear nothing except fear itself. Americans have done a great job projecting a positive image of their nation that even Al Jazeera have not succeeded to erode yet.

Njoo na maconfidence. Carry that image of the US with you. You are a winner my friend.

I know that most of you know what I am talking about.

Billionea,

Nafikiri hapa umepewa ushauri mzuri sana, angalia kipi chawezekana kwako kisha jitume tu kama ulivyojituma mwanzo kwenda US, kusoma na hadi hapo ulipofika, usikate tamaa kwa chochote. Once you maintain that positive attitude then lolote lawezekana.
