"To cripple Nigeria's webspace"! Federal Ministry of Transport website hacked

The website of the Federal Ministry of Transport was, just a few minutes ago, hacked, as shown in the above images. This is in support of the ongoing #OccupyNigeria movement sweeping the nation in response to the removal of the subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) by the Nigerian Government headed by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

The group responsible for this action, known as "NaijaCyberHacktivists", has threatened to "continue a relentless and devastating assault upon the web assets of the Nigerian government till the people's demands are met". Their mandate, which can be seen on the homepage of the Ministry website at Hacked By NaijaCyberHacktivists states their mission as "To hand the whip over to the horse" and further threatens to "cripple Nigeria's webspace and bring it to a grinding halt".

According to their twitter account at Twitter, they have obtained private phone numbers of 109 senators and have begun flooding them with a million text messages each. These phone numbers are also being released to the public who they are urging to flood the senators with phone calls and text messages. They have also started a twitter campaign to get the protests streamed live on the Aljazeera network.

That is sad end of hactivism, unapohack unamsaidia kuwa more secure!

Sio bongo. Ukim-hack mtu bongo ndio unammaliza kabisa. Kwa mfano Magufuli!
