    EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
    The Bank of Tanzania, an equal opportunity employer and Tanzania's central bank, is
    looking for suitably qualified Tanzanian citizens of high personal integrity to fill the
    following vacant positions at its Headquarters, Dar es Salaam.
    ECONOMIST – 2 POSTS
    Reports to: Head of Division.
    Location: Head Office – Financial Sector Stability Department
    Job purpose:
    To carry out research, monitor and analyse developments in the global and domestic
    macroeconomic environment, financial markets and financial infrastructure with a view
    to assessing their impact on financial stability.
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
    a) Maintaining and updating the department's database;
    b) Formulating macro-economic scenarios for use in regular stress testing of the
    banking sector;
    c) Assist in liaison arrangements with other directorates in the Bank and with other
    financial regulators;
    d) Monitoring developments in the global and domestic macroeconomic
    environment;
    e) Monitoring developments in the domestic financial markets (money markets,
    foreign exchange markets and capital markets) with a view to assessing their
    impact on financial stability;
    f) Monitoring the performance of the corporate and household sectors with a view
    to assessing their implications on financial stability;
    g) Monitoring progress in financial integration in the East African Community and
    its implications to financial stability;
    h) Monitoring regulatory and financial infrastructure developments;
    i) Conducting research and analysis of issues that support the Bank's financial
    stability objectives;
    j) Providing inputs on briefing materials for the Bank's publications such as
    Financial Stability Report, Management and Board Reports and for its
    representatives to the Tanzania Financial Regulators Forum and regional
    meetings;
    k) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the head of division.
    Essential Requirements:
     Master's degree in economics.
     Computer literacy.
     Good team player.
     Excellent written and oral communication skills.
     Experience in conducting economic research is an added advantage.
    FINANCIAL ANALYST – 2 POSTS
    Reports to: Head of Division.
    Location: Head Office – Financial Sector Stability Department
    Job purpose:
    To carry out research, monitor and analyse the performance of the financial system and
    developments in the banking, insurance, securities and pension sub-sectors with a view
    to assessing their impact on financial stability.
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
    a) Maintaining and updating the department's database;
    b) Monitoring and analyzing the performance of the banking, insurance, securities
    and pension subsectors with a view to assessing their impact on financial
    stability and recommending remedial measures;
    c) Conducting banking sector stress testing;
    d) Assist in liaison arrangements with other directorates in the Bank and with other
    financial regulators;
    e) Monitoring and conducting periodic assessment of inter-linkages among
    financial sub-sectors at national and regional levels in order to assess their
    implications on systemic risks;
    f) Monitoring the crisis preparedness arrangements in the banking, insurance,
    securities and pension subsectors through their respective regulators;
    g) Reviewing the work of international standard-setting organizations for financial
    stability with a view to identifying those with implications to the domestic
    financial system;
    h) Undertaking periodic surveys on risks perceptions and direction in the banking,
    insurance, securities and pension subsectors;
    i) Conducting research on issues that support the Bank's financial stability
    mandate of the Bank;
    j) Monitoring financial regulatory developments in the country and in the East
    African Community region in order to assess their implications on financial
    stability;
    k) Preparing regular reviews on financial soundness and proposing necessary
    remedial measures;
    l) Providing inputs on briefing materials for the Bank's publications such as
    Financial Stability Reports, Management and Board Reports and for its
    representatives to the Tanzania Financial Regulators Forum and regional
    meetings;
    m) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the head of division.
    Essential Requirements:
     Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related fields.
     Ability to analyze financial issues.
     Computer literacy.
     Good team player.
     Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    Mbona hizo nafasi za Financial Analyst wameshaitwa na wamefanya jumatatu 17 October,2011 ,iyo deadlyne utakuwa umeoverlook tu..tena walikuwa kumi na saba tu ndo wakafanya apptitude test...

    Ivi huko BOT wanaajiri kila siku, na kila siku hakuna kinacho badilika zaidi sarafu zinazo zidi kuzagaa mitaani kwakukosa dhamani. Sioni maantiki hapa kama kweli viwango vya kufanya kazi bot vinazingatiwa.

    BOT sio soko la kuuziana post.

    bado kuna negative perception kuhusu BOT(labda ni kwa sababu ya matatizo ya yaliotokea miaka ya karibuni), lakini ukweli ni kwamba ukiwa mzuri utachukuliwa tu, wana utaratibu mzuri sana. Utaratibu huko wazi na wa ushindani, hayo mengine ya kujuana na wakubwa yapo dunia nzima lakini ukweli unabaki palepale kama wewe ni compitent, basi usikate tamaa endelea kuomba . TUSIWE WATU WA LAWAMA NA KULALAMIKA TU. TUJARIBU BILA KUKATA TAMAA.

    Ukweli ndo huo kama hutaki basi....ila ninavyokwambia hizo nafasi ni zilitangazwa upya(Re-advertise) mwanzoni zilikuwa zilitangazwa sita(4 positions) wakafanya apptitude test na oral interview wakachujwa mpaka wakafika sita(6) matokeo yake wakapatikana wawili ndo ambao waliajiriwa,kwakuwa lengo lao ni kuwapata watu wanne na ndo maana waka re-advertise.....nawashauri msije mkapoteza Stationary zenu bure,mimi nina ushahidi wa watu ambao waliofanya ile iliyopita na hii ambayo wametangaza upya....

    Sio mtoto wa mkubwa tuu, kuna jamaa wapo pale kuuza kazi na kurekebisha. hata hao wakubwa wanawaona hao jamaa. Post moja huenda hadi 2-3M. Hata hivyo hata kama umetoa uzito unazingatia nani kakuleta. Biashara ambayo siku moja nataka niwe dalali.

    hapana mkuu jana nilikuwa na nilikuwa napitiapitia taarifa za uchumi wa nchi na kushuka kwa thamani kwa shilingi nikaona nijimovezishe huko kwenye website yao www.[B]bot[/B]-tz.org ndio nikakuta hilo tangazo...
