    airtel Tanzania is a dynamic company that offers excellent career paths for talented and motivated people. We are looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:-

    POSITION TITLE Compliance Manager
    REPORTING TO: Regulatory & Corporate Communications Director
    LOCATION: Dar es salaam, Tanzania
    JOB PURPOSE: LICENSING AND COMPLIANCE

    * Ensure compliance with license terms and conditions across all airtel Operating Countries.
    * Support the senior management on negotiations of and acquisition of new licenses and license renewals across Africa

    EXTERNAL RELATIONS

    * Develop and implement strategies and tactics to build and maintain close relationships with the regulators, policy makers and international organizations
    * Ensure airtel Tanzania is compliant with License requirements

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    * To support the business development teams and provide expertise and leadership in acquiring appropriate new licences when the business needs them.
    * To advise, guide, review and lead the teams when negotiating for new licences, new type of licences or renewal of existing licences, specifically ensure adequate and appropriate frequency and spectrum allocation.
    * To develop standards and guidelines to be used in airtel, Tanzania for acceptable licence terms, conditions and obligations.
    * To manage all operating licences and ensure that:
    o All obligations are met during the life of the licence. These obligations include, roll out, universal service and reporting obligations.
    o Penalties are not levied against the business due to non-compliance with obligations made in the licences
    o Our performance in each licence positions, inclusive renewals
    * To pay all annual/ quarterly fees timely as required by the licences awarded to the business
    * Provide expert advice and useful input to government authorities on the licensing framework in countries in which we operate.
    * To ensure that Monthly and Quarterly reports are submitted to management and significant events are brought to management attention immediately.

    Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills

    * A minimum Bachelor's degree in Law, an advanced degree desirable.
    * Must understand licensing regulations
    * A solid knowledge of the industry, telecommunications technology, telecommunications products and industry trends
    * Code of ethics
    * Business Development Strategy

    Relevant Experience

    * More than 5 years experience in Corporate Organization plus an additional 3 years in licensing – specifically negotiation of new licenses or equivalent.

    POSITION TITLE IT Business Relationship Manager - Infrastructure
    REPORTING TO: IT Director
    LOCATION: Dar es salaam, Tanzania
    JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for Providing leadership/direction in the execution of airtel Tanzania's Information Technology Strategy and the management of its IT operations, processes, staff and information assets. Define and deliver a cost-effective IT roadmap and organization that will enable business objectives
    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    * Work with S1 Partner, ensure the definition of a comprehensive IT roadmap that addresses current and future technology needs (infrastructure and applications) of Airtel Tanzania that is aligned with overall Airtel strategy and local business needs
    * Institutionalize periodic identification and prioritization of IT Action(s) via regular review of business requirements and operational risks;
    * Periodic but frequent communication of IT Value to the rest of the business.
    * Contribute to the success of the business as a member of the Operational Leadership Team.
    * Working with relevant partner(s), design, build and maintain a fully available and resilient IT infrastructure with adequate DR provisions to support business continuity and high service availability.
    * Ensure continuous availability, reliability and performance of airtel Tanzania's Information Systems, Data Centre Facilities, CCT, and other Technology Systems.
    * Minimize potential risk to the attainment of business objectives by proactively planning and providing adequate infrastructure capacity and information systems capabilities- end-to-end.
    * Manage Information Security/Risk.
    * Manage the Partner(s) & ensure service delivery to agreed quality and SLA.
    * Ensure value delivery to airtel Tanzania by maintaining oversight of related managed services.
    * Ensure continuous alignment of IT actions with Business Imperatives – Ensure partner(s) develop and target IT capabilities towards high impact business initiatives.
    * Manage the IT OPEX and CAPEX and ensure all spend/investments are in line with approved AOP.
    * Ensure appropriate Governance mechanisms for airtel Tanzania's Technology Architecture, information assets, projects, infrastructure, applications and IT processes.
    * Oversee the formulation and implementation of appropriate information management policies and procedures.
    * On-schedule, on-budget delivery of IT solutions to facilitate.
    * commercial products and services through effective management of IT projects and/or programs.

    Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills

    * University degree. Possession of an advanced degree and / or an MBA will be desirable.
    * Professional qualification/certification in Project Management Techniques and related disciplines.

    Relevant Experience

    * 5-10+ years with a minimum of 5 years in management role preferably within the IT/Telecoms industry.
    * Experience on delivering multiple complex projects and institutionalizing IT Process is Key.

    POSITION TITLE Finance Manager, Business Planning & Analysis
    REPORTING TO: Finance Director
    LOCATION: Dar es salaam, Tanzania
    JOB PURPOSE: Provide management with information relevant to aid decision making and steer the company towards being a profitable entity.
    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    * Build AOP Financials, based on functional and Operational Inputs
    * Monthly/Quarterly Analysis of Variance
    Prepare 3 /5 year plan as appropriate
    * Timely and accurate reporting of CWN daily.
    * Issue zonal CWN report
    Performance analysis highlighting function-wise areas of concerns and improvements
    * Prepare Functional review decks
    * Monthly review deck for Board
    Quarterly Review deck for Audit Committee
    * Review of Finance MAPA and coordination of Zonal MAPA to drive and monitor the delivery of the AOP.
    * Controlling Opex / Capex approvals and updating functions on their YTD spent status.
    * Obtain appropriate approvals for any cost over runs-
    Budgetary Check and evaluation of all Capex investment.
    * Coordination of the flash and forecast process with functional heads to have an understating of the expected performance of the current month and the remaining months of the financial year.
    * Bucket Wise revenue analysis (weekly-Gap against AOP & Run rate)
    * Segment Wise revenue analysis for proactive decision making and customer profiling
    * Pre and post launch promo analysis to Marketing for performance tracking
    * Issue quarterly competitor analysis
    * Monthly Market share reporting and analysis.

    Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills

    * Graduate & Post-graduate degrees in Economics and Finance; Professional qualification in Accounting (CPA/ACCA).

    Relevant Experience

    * 7-10 years of experience in Audit, Banking & Telecoms
