Brethrens,
Today is another day when I felt the test of what it takes to be a Lawyer and a Politician.
My dilemma came at a point when I least expected.
Who do I blame? Which side do I take? What role do I play?
I have witnessed a bill by a Lawyer for 25 Million Tshs to defend a case on behalf of a District Council. The latter has agreed to pay the former. Its a case filed at the Resident Magistrate (Mahakama ya Hakimu Mkazi)!!
As a lawyer one would expect me to be okay, as a politician one would expect me to say no! But, here the problem goes deeper. It is our current and serious problem as a country. Selfish and greedy. We are too selfish. We care less about the poor Tanzanians. Its all about us and our always wide mouths and stomachs!
I have witnessed both. And now my 5 senses are all working. I can see, feel, smell, touch and hear wizi, ubadhirifu, unyonyaji, ujambazi, ufisadi, dhuluma nk.day in, day out!
Hii nchi inaliwa! Dah!
