KAMPALA, Uganda Uganda's recently re-elected president says he will "eat" his challenger who disputed poll results and called for peaceful protests.
President Yoweri Museveni said Friday of Kizza Besigye, who took 26 percent to place second in last week's poll: "we will catch him and eat him like a cake."
Besigye said the poll was rigged and called for protests and a new election. International observers cited irregularities. Ugandan officials rejected those claims.
Museveni, who has ruled for 25 years, has said he will jail anyone who attempts Egypt-style protests. Besigye was jailed after protesting his loss in 2006 polls.
Former Ugandan ruler Idi Amin has been accused of cannibalism. His regime was notorious for torturing and killing suspected opponents in the 1970s

1. As friend and among first to congraturate Kikwete for his reelection, there is pattern here to fear. These East African presidents are intend to use force to stay in power. The only solution is "Revolt"
2. Election monitors found the same thing as in Tanzania that there were irregulations and Museven cheated as Kikwete did. These regimes are working together to cheat its people. All they want is power and money not leadership. Greed Greed Greed and selfishness.
