    Nina matatizo ya kiwango cha lehemu (cholestrol) kuwa juu. Tatizo hili nimeambiwa linatokana hususani na aina ya vyakula/vinywaji.Je, ni vyakula, vinywaji na matunda gani napaswa kuepuka kupunguza ongezeko hilo?Je, ni vyakula, vinywaji na matunda gani yafaa kutumia kudhibiti hali hiyo?Naomba kuwasilisha

    Mkuu naona hapo ulikuwa unamaanisha Cholesterol (Shahamu) na si lehemu (cholestrol).

    Mkuu cha muhimu hapa unatakiwa kupunguza Kula nyama nyekundu na mazao yake, nina maanisha nyama zote za wanyama kama vile Ng'ombe, Mbuzi, Nguruwe n.k. Kwani kwenye nyama hizi na mazao yake kunapatikana sana kitu kinachoitwa Saturated fat...! Hii Saturated fat inapatikana kwenye mazao yanayotokana na wanyama kama vile Siagi (Butter), Jibini (cheese), Maziwa ambayo hayaja enguliwa (whole milk), ice cream, pamoja cream, pia unaweza kupata shahamu kwenye nyama za samaki haswa ngozi na Kuku, japokuwa si kwa wingi kama kwenye nyama nyekundu.

    Pia unywaji wa bia na aina zingine za vilevi, vinachangia sana ongezeko la cholestrol mwilini.

    Vile vile kuna haya mafuta yanayoitwa Hydrogenated Fat... Haya yanatokana na mafuta ya mimea (vegetable oils) yanapokuwa yakitengenezwa, haya mafuta uongezwa hydrogen ili yaweze kuwa imara au solid state. Mafuta haya ni hatari sana kulinganisha na mafuta ya wanyama... mfano mafuta ya Margarine. Na pia epuka kula vyakula vilivyotengenezwa viwandani...!

    Mafuta mengine yanayotokana na mimea na mbegu ni mafuta ya Nazi (coconut oil), Mafuta ya Mawese (Palm oil) na ulaji wa chocolate.

    Njia nyingine ya kufanya ambazo zitakusaidia kupunguza Shahamu (Cholesterol) mwilini ni kufunga kama vile wanavyofunga Waislam, hii inasaidia sana kupunguza sukari kwenye damu pamoja na Shahamu (Cholesterol), kwani kwa kufunga kunafanya mwili kutumia akiba yake ya mafuta ambayo ndio hiyo shahamu.

    Remember:Saturated fats are found primarily in animal products. But a few vegetable fats and many commercially processed foods also contain saturated fat.

    Read labels carefully... Choose foods wisely.

    Pamoja na kupunguza au kuacha kutumia baadhi ya vyakula unatakiwa unatakiwa utumie dawa ya artic sea ili uweze kusafisha njia za mishipa.baada ya hapo ukibadilisha menu itakufaa

    Umri miaka 49 Vipimo mnamo tarehe 23 Mar 2011 vilikuwa (mmol/L)Triglycerides = 2.47 (Norm 1.7) Total Cholestorol = 6.18 (Norm 5.2) HDL Cholestorol 0.88 (Norm 0.9 - 1.8)
